With my set up... it's easy to do both at the same time.

But only if we really wanted to... I'm sure there will be better sports to watch than a meaningless pagent.
      Keep on Civin'

Watching Detroit at home this year must be great for Piston fans -- chalk up another win, the only mystery is the margin of victory.

Bulls are teh suck this year. Hard to watch, cuz they lose a lot of games they should win. Lacking size and veteran leadership.

          Civ is much more fun.

Not till the end of APRIL.
The discussion has already started on whether to bring sticks. Nellie said he would be. But he'll try to get in more than one round. At best I'll only be able to play once. So I was trying to see if he'd stick a couple of my clubs in his bag. I figured that 3 sticks would cover 90% of my shots. Driver, putter, and a SAND WEDGE. sorry

I find that the cost of renting sticks more than compensates for not having to drag mine through airports, risk damage/loss, etc. Plus, at a decent club, you get to try some of the coolest new stuff. (I always check in advance -- lots of places let youreserve if you have a tee time.)

If you can get your few key sticks there without carrying them, IMHO that is definitely the way to go...

I generally hate rented clubs no matter how cool the new technology is because it takes half the round to get used to them. I can hit this rented 5 iron 20 yards farther than mine, Ok, that means I airmailed 3 or 4 greens before I believed it. Oh joy.
On a short trip, always takes clubs.
For long trips, my general rule of thumb is for only one round rent, for anything more, drag sticks and take the risk.
Besides, I really like my current sticks.

If you'd ever hit the range, that problem would disappear.

I've gotten to try the latest Callaways, Wilson Fat Shafts, Pings, etc. I can enjoy a round with different sticks, and it helps separate advertising hype from reality.

Travelling on business it's hard to squeeze rounds in let alone allocating extra time on the range. And you know how i feel about the range normally. I only go to the range to swing a couple of times to loosen up after a layoff, or only when I'm really really desperate because of a problem I can't shake on the course.

All your extra range time has helped you beat me how many times? Yes, 0 is correct.

Hm, I thought we were discussing business travel. And hitting half a bucket on the range is how I deal with rental clubs.

I didn't know your oh-so-superior-through-decades-of-experience golf skills were relevant to that discussion.
