Well I figured that you weren't knocking Alex ANZAC, I have yet to come across a single active member of the community that doesn't respect his incredible contribution to the Civilization II legacy.

Er... I'm probably going to get flamed for saying this, but I think Alex was a bit over-rated in certain areas. While his units were great, culminating in his fantastic collaborations with Nemo, his scenarios were... meh. I thought Spartacus was one of the most over-rated scenarios I've ever played.

OK, just let me get my body armour and then you can start firing at will.

Everyone has an opinion.

I don't see how I could dislike someone for saying what they think.

In my view...
Nemo/Alex certainly pushed the world of CIV2 onwards and opened new frontiers.

But there are amazing scenarios out now, like those created by Tech, Case and Exile...

Not to mention Harry Tuttle, Koby, Jim Panse, Favouredflight...

And so many others...!

And these days, when it comes to unit art, well we all
know of that gentleman with the George Best avatar!
