      I solved this by having a joint USSR/Democratic Republic of Afghanistan civilization under Babrak Kamal, with Soviet units only available via events. The mujahideen don't really feature in the first few turns of the scenario; it starts off at the very beginning of the Afghan war, 25th December 1979. You'll be expected to storm Kabul, kill Hafizullah Amin and finally defeat any remaining PDPA forces loyal to him to take control of the country. Amin certainly won't go down without a fight! The mujahideen will be trying to do the same however, so it's a race against time!

      I'll post a few screenshots of what I've done below. If anyone has any comments/suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
      Hey, unfortunately, my comp busted, and I lost my Iraq and Afghan war scenarios so I have to start from scratch.

      Could I have the map? I wanna make my own version for FW.

          Here are your files; I hope you finish it off - if there can be a limitless number of WW2 scenarios out there the market's surely big enough for another Afghanistan scenario!

            UPDATE!

            Or rather, lack of. I'ver really been struggling with this one guys. My muse deserted me after I finished the tech tree.

            So, hopefully a few of you out there can give me some inspiration for WoW and city improvements.

            Current WoW are:
            Brezhnev Doctrine (Newton's College)
            The Buddhas (not assigned to any WoW yet)
            Military Assistance (Darwin's Voyage)
            Any other ones?

            With regard to city improvements, I'm looking for whatever would fit it to the milieu of Afghanistan. The exceptions are science improvements. As science controls reinforcement rate from the USSR, I've been thinking that the player would have to build improvements that would cause the USSR to look upon him more favourably e.g. PDPA HQ in a city, furthering the socialist revolution, rather than a simple library.

            Ideas greatly appreciated!
