  • Weird problem with squares

    Hello,

Open this save and take a look at the squares at 123,47 (west of Plymouth) and 15,83 (north of pearl harbor).

It seems these squares are locked somehow. They worked perfectly before, but now I can even handle the squares from the cheat menu. Nor can the cities with the square in their radius use them. Does anyone know what this might be?

Looks to me like the game thinks that there is another city on those squares.

I ran a couple of tests and discovered that the game thinks that there are 3 cities too many. Not until you raze 4 cities can you build a new city anywhere.

Then build a new city AAA on square (15,83). If you then raze AAA, the square becomes normal. The same applies to square (123,47).

I can't find the source of the problem. Hexeditor shows that the length of the city list in the save file is ok.

Could be that there are another 2 squares somewhere that are also "locked".
