4000 BC: The legendary Empress Thatcher forges the people of her river valley into a new nation known as BRITAIN. Our first city and capital, LONDON, is on the shores of a mighty ocean and is blessed with pods of whales, grasslands, forests, rivers, plains, hills and swamps. It is from here we shall explore the world around us and expand into it, enlightening any other peoples we may encounter.
3400 BC: Settlers establish the coastal city of YORK. It's blessed with wheat, grasslands, hills and plains.
2150 BC: !!!BRITAIN attacks GERMANY!!! A division of our horsemen discover their capital while exploring, and we exchange knowledge. But we see an opportunity to expand our territory and attack, despite their offer of a peace treaty.
2100 BC: !!!BRITISH armies capture and destroy the GERMAN capital, BERLIN!!! The enemy government fails to escape, and a glorious victory is achieved in the name of Empress Thatcher!
2000 BC: (((BRITAIN and GERMANY sign a cease-fire.))) We only agree to this after they beg for their lives, and give us all of their gold and knowledge. See! We're capable of showing mercy!
1800 BC: We reject a GERMAN emissary's request for an audience.
1500 BC: The descendants of Empress Thatcher quietly relinquish power and step out of the spotlight. Revolution erupts as parties vie to succeed them — from other would-be dictators to new royalists, it's a free for all.
1450 BC: Years of infighting give way to the rise of a monarchy in LONDON, which extends its grip across all of BRITAIN. Order has been restored, and the standard of living improves a bit for a vast majority of the people. The new king and queen are feted by their subjects, and guided by a council of wise nobles.
1400 BC: Settlers establish the coastal city of NOTTINGHAM. It's blessed with rich fisheries, grasslands, forests, hills and plains. This completes the colonization of our rather small homeland. If we are to expand further, it will have to be across the vast oceans that surround us.
0875 BC: Settlers establish the coastal riverine city of HASTINGS in northern Europe. It's blessed with pods of whales, coal-bearing hills, grasslands, plains and towering, snow-capped mountains.
0575 BC: ///BRITAIN builds the wondrous Colossus in LONDON./// This towering, magnifcent statue is visible for miles around, and shall attract traders to our lands. This will mean additional tax revenue and, more importantly, exposure to new ideas for our knowledge-seekers.
0550 BC: The Golden Age of Philosophy begins in BRITAIN's capital, LONDON. Great thinkers articulate scientific, moral, and metaphysical systems which endure for centuries to come.

0580 AD: ***!!!RUSSIA DESTROYS GERMANY!!!*** The destruction of LEIPZIG wipes out the last of the GERMAN people, whose contributions shall now be nothing more than a footnote or two in the history book of humanity.

1120 AD: Settlers establish the inland riverine city of NEWCASTLE. It's blessed with grasslands, coal-bearing hills, forests, and plains. It's roughly located where the destroyed GERMAN city of LEIPZIG once stood. We have completely colonized the lands that once supported the now-extinct GERMAN people.

1130 AD: Order is restored across BRITAIN as a republic rises to prominence in LONDON. For the first time in our nation's long history, all of the people are truly represented in a government for the people, by the people. The republic is composed of a strong Senate, an active consul, and an independent judiciary branch, all of which are kept in their defined roles by a series of ingenious checks and balances. Long live the BRITISH republic!

1740 AD: ***!!!THE DRAKA DESTROY EGYPT!!!*** The fall of EGYPT's capital, THEBES, snuffs out the last of a nation that was always on decent terms with our people. This is the first time we've had proof that the DRAKA put those they conquer "under the Yoke." In other words, enslaved. Rumors had abounded for centuries that the DRAKA did this to whoever they conquered, but until now we hadn't had proof.
1745 AD: Settlers establish the coastal city of LIVERPOOL in northern Europe. It's blessed with rivers, grasslands, forests, hills, plains and rich fisheries.
1754 AD: The Senate, seeing INDIA diminished, refuses to grant an audience to its emissary.

1764 AD: The Senate grants an audience to an emissary from RUSSIA — and is immediately insulted by his demand that we attack INDIA. We refuse, at which point he demands 800 gold tribute. Once again we refuse, and he's escorted out. Not long afterward, he's arrested after being caught red-handed with one of our closely guarded technological secrets. Angry, the Senate ejects him from the capital and downgrades RUSSIA's reputation.
1768 AD: ^^^BARBARIAN armies ransack the DRAKA city of KATANGA.^^^ It's later learned the "barbarians" were slaves rising up in rebellion against the masters. Their fates are unknown at this time.

1970 AD: !!!BRITAIN attacks CHINA!!! In a sign of increasing fundamentalist power, the Hawk Party pushes through an authorization to strike — and one of history's biggest betrayals occurs. The fallout is limited, however, due to a number of mitigating factors, such as the Eiffel Tower and the United Nations. And, of course, our previously stellar behavior.

Rumors had abounded for centuries that the DRAKA did this to whoever they conquered, but until now we hadn't had proof.

1970 AD: !!!BRITAIN attacks CHINA!!! In a sign of increasing fundamentalist power, the Hawk Party pushes through an authorization to strike — and one of history's biggest betrayals occurs. The fallout is limited, however, due to a number of mitigating factors, such as the Eiffel Tower and the United Nations. And, of course, our previously stellar behavior.
