Unit Shield Cost

What is the most a unit can cost before it can be purchased for negative gold?" I've seen 300 shields in one guide, but I seem to remember a 220 shield Star Destroyer giving me the "economic edge" so to speak in a Starwars scenario. Does anyone have the definative answer?

Over 180 shields in FW allows the money bug to occur. MGE eliminated it entirely.

*Entirely*? Does that mean there's effectively no upper limit to costs in post-MGE versions? (I'm using ToT)
