Infact one map by me has been uploaded in the civ3 creation pages, so have a look if you got civ3

    it would be nice if ppl i used to talk with in these forums dropped by this thread to say hi

      I use civ 2 with XP!

      If it doesn't work for you, check that you have indeed installed WinG (from the CD), and you might also need the Indeo drivers, which MarkG has been so nice as to host on the Civ2 section, HERE. (courtesy of Ben Kenobi) It's the third news item down, for now.

            I'm running XP and have had no problems with Civ2 MGE. I assume you play MGE.

            However, there may be different versions of the Civ2 MGE CD. I've checked my CD manually and used the XP search function and there is no WinG folder either on the CD or elsewhere in my computer.

            The closest I can come on the CD is a folder "WIN_95nt Indeo".

            I bought my MGE as soon as it came out.

            @varwnos

            I certainly remember reading your posts in this forum. Welcome back.

                    Hmm, i don't have it either. (well, i do, but it looks like it was used for sliding down sandpaper)

                    Well, try with the Indeo drivers first. Then try and run the game. AFAIK, if it's not running diue to WinG, it tells you so.

                          @varwnos

                          I was forced to upgrade my computer from Windows Me to XP. All the Civ II files remained in place. Nevertheless, I first had to uninstall Civ II and then install it again to get it to run.

                          Get a new CD, burn a copy and put the original in a very safe place. Then use the copy to install and run the game on your new computer.
