    Heresson,

What version of the game are you playing; are the patches applied??

Spies don't get a bribe option if the city has a Palace. Something else seems to be afoot here. Did your city disappear or did it change sides??

I do remember someone else claiming that this happened once. It wasnt' me
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

        No patches, Civ2 FW
My city didn't disappear or change sides.
It was my ONLY city. It could not change sides

Theorethically I should have savs of this game, but I've got three computers here and I don't know on which I have played (it probably wasn't the newest one, but am not sure), on each I have lots of savs
I'd have to check. I don't remember which civ I've played.
I just remembers that the Vikings were involsved. But now I'm not even sure if it was me that played them, or was they the civ that bribed my capital city.

          rah,

Yup, that did happen. What also happened is that they (he,she,it) could not provide a .sav and after numerous fruitless requests from many folk that a save be shared, the thread died.

This one, I think, needs more than a vague claim. Looking at a save, one could determine if the Palace city was bribed or not, just as seeing a "Bigfoot" at a news conference would be more definitive than 'fuzzy pictures'.

And re-loading, even if "enraged", is still a no-no.

If it did not change sides, why do you think it was bribed??

Then again, I do not play FW; so maybe that is part of that game.

I thought You suggest that perhaps there was no palace in the city due to taking it by an enemy some time earlier.
If You did not think of that, how do You imagine bribing/subverting city WITHOUT taking it?

Now why would anyone think there was no Palace since you said, in the first mention of this "problem", that the city had a Palace??

Maybe it is a language thing, and if that is the case, it is regretable that understanding comes with such difficulty. But, it seems you are more interested in sticking out your tongue than figuring this thing out. A serious person would not act this way.

                Good luck with your rage.

                  Oh c-mon.
I assumed that You must have assumed that I have wrongly assumed that there was a palace in this city.

Sorry for tongues if they offended You.

Bye, keep no hard feelings, Bloody Monky.

I have a feeling this may be the problem. I have experienced a number of things that "shouldn't happen" when playing FW - particularly connected with the diplomacy. I believe that FW has some pernicious bugs.

I now play 2.42 rather than FW.

Oh, this guy that complained about similar thing once, he may have been me... I think I complained about it before.

I remember that a really long time ago, it could have even been civ 1 actually (and I did mention that too once), I caught a barbarian leader between my city and my unit. And he sabotaged a building in my city!
Well, barbarian leaders are diplos after all...
