  • Remember back when this forum was active?

Good times. Like back on December 13, 2000. Or April 5, 2001

Ah yes, Ozzy, but quality always beats quantity.

      Ah, so true.

But how would that really apply to our current situation?

        lol

Busy times are over, but some people still play, they just might not post as much. I, however, post more than I play so I'm doing my part to keep the forum active

Well... we do have less to talk about. Most of the stuff about civ II has been discussed... There are no real "new" strategies... there are less active games... it's now down to just the hard cores...

At least it's still easy to find games

Yes, I still find a way to get in two or three games a week. So on the playing side, it's no different than a few years ago. Old players leave and new players come.

But I post less, because like ming said, less NEW stuff to talk about. And less responses even when we do.

Well diplogaming isn't where it used to be. That's a shame.

We are trying to get a Civ3-MP game going, but its taking a while. And of course it wouldn't help this forum any.

All we really need is for Eyes or SK to post another "I'm the Greatest" Thread to liven things up a little

none of those links work, beyond the listing...

Even thgough we all know all the tricks and strats in Civ2 I think posting game threads is inspiring for others.

More are still playing than the threads sugest.

That's why I started that 5 city game thread. There's not much more we can learn off each other but I still like to read about the cut and thrust within the games that are being played.

I could post everything in the world and it wouldn't liven things up. This forum is dead just like this game. Move on.

Why don't you guys try a scenario or two or ten? I've got a nice one coming out about the Black Hills in 1870... 5 player game, little city management beyond improvements, really new strategies...

It's very hard to get everyone to agree on a scenario, rarely happens.

I keep coming back to Civ2!

Other than the Myst games there's nothing worth playing.
