Hail, noble knights!
I have heard many cries from posters about a lack of sword and shield-waving scenarios being made.
I would say that there are quite a few underway, Running Free and War of the Ring among them.
So to take a break from Panzers and B17s (for now!)
I too plan to present a small scen I was working on for the fun of it.
This is Kingdoms of steel, set in a fantasy map with the usual consignment of civs.
This is time the action is a bit more generic, the plan was to create a classic civ2 like game, but with some differences...
Slower tech, so you can enjoy the eras more.
Magic and wizardry replace microchips and industry.
Mighty warriors, magcial artefact wonders in an age of bravery and steel!
*ahem*
The civs are as follows:
The Steelholt Realms - Fine warriors and classic 'kings and knights' civ.
The Zunic Empire - Aztec-like realm, with an emphasis on exploration.
The Pretoran Republic - Similar to the Roman Empire.
The Valkan Kingdom - Viking-type, hard-as-nails warriors.
The Baronic Council - Sort of medieval-American merchants.
Asari Sultanate - The essential Eastern-style kingdom of any fantasy world.
The Tundran Empire - Icy warriors and rather tough too.
The object of the game?
*Conquer all in a great crusade.
*Or unite the world in peace and profit.
Don't forget to build a mighty empire along the way!
Here are the units:
