  • Götterdämmerung Reviewed

After some hand-wriggling, I've updated SLeague with Jim Panse's Götterdämmerung and Techumseh's review of it.

I've appreciated the review, but I've expected to find some screenshots

I am merely a conduit for the material. Hmm.

Anybody ever wonder why we don't get more reviews?

That's an extremely thorough and useful review Tech

I have to say I agree with the jist of it as well: Jim had a very promising basis for a scenario but I found it a bit unplayable in single player. I would imagine it's much better as a PBEM.

The combination of wood achohol, Civ 2 and the demands of tertiary education?

@ Techumseh: Thank you for reviewing my scenario!

@ St.Leo: Thank you for updating SLeague with Tech's review!

@ Fairline: This was designed to be a PBEMable scenario since the AI usually puts up a rather bad defensive IMHO. Though I admit after having read that review I am tempted to go after a better balanced version of this scenario myself ... we will see ... sooner or later

@Justinianum: Not to worry, it's a fair comment. I was more concerned about the general lack of response up to that point. The idea of a review is to generate discussion. Some of the debates around this place in the past were more fun than the scenarios themselves.

WW2 scenarios all suck. It's a Fundamental Law of Physics. In fact, PI is not a basic constant but rather a derivative of this law. A WW2 scenario buried the Roman town of Pompeii in volcanic ash. I speak truth.

I know that Markos is on record as ruling that moderators posts are never spam, no matter what their contents are. However, I wonder what his views on moderators trolling are?

Here is something for you while you are waiting: 'To generalise is to be an idiot ....'
