  • A new mini-utility

    Hi all,

    For a technical problem that arose with a scen in progess at CFC, I've designed a new mini-utility that it's so buggy (crash often) that I don't want yet to make it public, but at least to tell you that exists, so I can use it for you if you need it.

    Basically, the utility detects loops in the tech-tree, and tell you what loop exist. It's very useful to solve scens that are crashing because you did a wrong tech tree.

        It's very buggy yet, Mark, so while I'm preparing it to be public used, I announced it so if a designer suffer that problem he can send me their RULES.TXT files and I'll use the utility to discover the problem. As soon as it will be very ready to be published (an my work and the civ2 source-code petition only allow me to use weekends for it) I'll post it here as soon as possible - I guess by end of month

          Great idea!

          Does your code look for anything in particular at the end of each line of @CIVILIZE? If so, is there any chance you could document it? Some of us place comments there. I remember taking a while editing my @UNITS to make them compatible with CivCity.

            Hi Boco, thanks for your compliments....

            I don't use anything at the end of lines of @CIVILIZE in order to allow comments there , so I guess you will have no problems with this new utility
