        I just talked to deity and it seems certain terraintypes were altered, hills giving only 50% defence bonus?

        What else is changed and why didnt I hear this earlyer?

          I'm really sorry about this. I used the HOTW modpak where that was a rules.txt change we'd talked about ages ago for HOTW games; but it wasn't changed back for this game. Frank, can you think of any other changes like that?

          I've fixed the modpak and repost the rules.txt here

            The specials still have lower vallues on both hill and mountains.

              Um sorry. That was a mod used long ago to take away some of the advantages of plopping cities on mountainsides. Never intended for this game.

                OK, I'm just double-checking eveything in the rules.txt and taking back to normal anything not discussed for this game... e.g. Fascism unit support, SS Thrust paradigm... still going through it

                  I went line by line with the default rules open on left of screen and our classic_diplo one on the right. These are the changes I noted.

                  Latest rules.txt

                  * Fascism unit support changed from 5 back to 10
                  (10 ; Fundamentalism pays support for all units past this)

                  * Changed to normal SS (NOT slowed)
                  (75 ; Mass/Thrust paradigm (increasing slows spaceship time))

                  * Fundy Science back to normal (was 30)
                  (50 ; Fundamentalism loses this % of science)

                  * all the terain and specials were completely replaced with the defaults

                  All other stuff about special units, techs etc that has been discussed is as per Zylka's last post on the matter (e.g. Modern Inf. attack reduced to 6 etc)
                  When in the game study the tech tree and the Civilopedia military units and ask any questions.
