Due to the turmoil in Africa and it's environs, France and Britain have decided to put a stop to this endless infighting.
From now on, an attack on either power will bring the other into the war in full alliance.
The first manfastation of this pact is this:
The Suez canal zone shall be opened, France and Britain will now send warships to ensure this, ANY vessals found blocking the area shall be fired upon by the Alliance powers.

PM Drafts "Gladstone Edicts"
London.- Prime Minister Gladstone, pressured by various colonial lobbyists, has drafted and published the "Gladstone Edicts". The Edicts state that any unauthorised units deployed within two squares of any British held territory (city) in Africa, or along the coasts of Egypt and Lower Sudan, as well as in South Africa, are to be considered as an invading army and ordered for automatic expulsion by force of arms if necessary.
This declaration is aimed mostly at the landings of Turkish units on the coast of Egypt near Cairo, which is an 'untenable situation', stated the PM.
Additionally, London has dispatched a request to Portugal to withdraw their chasseurs outside the city of Bulawayo as they hinder the progress of the Cape-Cairo Railroad.Comment
