Martin Rhodes Declares "Cape to Cairo" Route Area of British Interest
Cape Town.- In a proclamation to the world and ratified by telegraph by the House of Commons and the Foreign Office, Martin Rhodes, a well known colonialist from the Cape, has proclaimed that the route plotted for the Cape to Cairo railroad will be an area of British Interest and that any foreign encroaching upon this area will be deemed with great displeasure.
