Very early retirement is the key.
And as to the interesting part - I am saving the beaches and cruises and Europe vacations for later in life. Now it is hiking excursions and trips like last year to Tibet and Everest Base Camp. Thinking about Peru and the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu for the next one.
btw - one of the couples on our hike over the Chilkoot Pass were in their mid to late 60's and did quite well.
