still over a third of my points come from the land area. damn, a creative leader really cannot survive in a all vs. all MP game

Only if a reliable coalition is formed between two or more players, and then only on non-continents maps (players separated until Astronomy) can a creative player not survive.

yeah, but the others are more likely going to gang up on the guy with the most lands or the most wonders (industrial) than gang up on somebody who seems weaker due to less cultural pressure.

qui unfortunatly just placed a city on my borders. really odd place as he is going to be under cultural pressure and he's not getting any additional "good" tiles except the marble resource...

, not unlikely. but qui is falling back in the tech race despite all his wonders. ragnar however is thriving, and surprisingly, wan kong is working quite fine with his iron source and otherwise only water and villages.
