I got WarOlords running without a breeze, and we all updated the normal way. I even reinstalled the whole rimram (civ4+warlords) after the testing.

(7 November 2006, 13:55 | Civ4 | 8 comments) Civilization IV: Warlords lead designer Alex "Alexman" Mantzaris has posted a hotfix to Civ4: Warlords v2.08 that corrects a bug with the Hotseat game which prevents players other than the first from seeing their tech tree. This fix is only for Hotseat players and will not affect people who do not play Hotseat. The file needs to be placed in your \Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Warlords\Assets\Python\Screens\ folder.
According to Alexman, Attached is a fix for that bug, but please be aware that if you overwrite the original file, your game will not be compatible for multiplayer with people who don`t have the fix.
I would therefore recommend that you install the file only if hotseat is essential to you. And even if you do install it, make a backup of the original file so that you can go back to the original files if you decide to play MP. - snoopy369

And indeed, this hotfix doesn't affect PBEM, and I never played such a game as this fix is supposed to correct.Comment

i don't play hotseat either, but i think the patch is/was necessary to make me compatible with the other PBEMs.
