allright, i found a thread descibing how. one does not need to hack any files, it's just "remove admin password in 2.00", "set it again in 2.08"

anyhow, 0230bc sent again to grandpa troll, this time the PATCHED version.

I am not patched no are any of my others games..most games we agreed to not or too..not patch until all agreed which many have not..............

I have no intention of patching until more information comes out

more information about what? i can tell you pretty much anything, as i helped test the patch.
and as for the "admin-password-problem": as you see it worked just the inconvenience of the game administrator having to load up the game first in 2.00, then change password, save it and patch up...

oh, and the patch would be good because there was a pretty bad flaw in the tech beaker calculation of 2.00 where you get punished for overflow. also tons of other things...

The biggest thing is that the patch fixes more than it fricks up

many patches many results in games sir some good many bad

now..the other games I am in those folks will have to agree as well

ah, i get it! you're scared that your AIs will be too good in mid-game and that the CS-slingshots won't work anymore

ok, we have following options:
1) dauphin and i revert back to v2.00 --> not good because i wanna play other games too, and dauphin probably too

2) we wait until you and your other game mates patch --> for this we need to know how long that could take [we don't want to have to wait for the second extension].
keep in mind that there won't be any more patches for warlords!

3) we replace your player until you are ready. this is ofcourse only if (2) takes much too long. this replacement could be one of us (not so bad because we're all in it together) or a third person of your choice.



option (2) is of course the best, but as i wrote, it depends on your other game patch-plan...

I can revert back, it's not a big deal for me. I also don't mind waiting for an extended period. I also don't mind a third person coming in to the game to carry on.

Options 2 and 1 are my preference as I'd like to see GT carry on the game if at all possible.

I would like to play as well, but I dont want to hold up progress

and since this option of replacing me came up and you thought it was an option, go for it

as previously stated, need to check with others games I am in, some players are away

and Sabrewolf, I enjoy the game but again, I am not going to "force" others to choose by switching then asking

as for ai being good or not good before or after the patch, the fellowship and fun with you fellow humans weighs in heavier for me sir

i prefer to wait a bit than revert back...

and as for replacing: that would only be the case if it would take a long time until you patch. no need to rush your team mates, but it would be interesting to have an idea whether we're speaking of days, weeks or months.

i am also enjoying this game a lot and i would much prefer to stay on among us three... especially when we meet each other and start to struggle against our neighbors or so

and you also caught me after a long day breaking rocks in the pit

I will try to get an answer fairly quickly

I will soon post that I am flying home to Maine to see my Dad with my wife next week.

I hadn't seen him since Mom passed away 6 years ago....

I leave Friday Nov 24 3 am and return late Sunday December 3.

I will wait to the MAXIMUM date of Saturday morning EST (USA est)

I looked at all warlords games and they seem to be leaning toward patching

Just curious, a simple patch and the games will load no problem?

Is there a certain procedure?

patching worked fine for me. i did not use the in-game patch but instead downloaded it. but i think the other should be fine too...
in-game procedure: go to "Advanced", then "Update" (or similar)... wait
download patch procedure: go to apolyton or CFC and get the file, run it... wait
