yeah... one turn one guy has rails and the next turn all have railroads. no change in level of money or no other techs were exchanged... pretty obvious if you think about it

paddy: when click on F4, then trade "technology" panel and you can click on the player. you'll then see on the top what you beyond them and in that player's row what he/she has which you don't. don't tell me you never noticed that before?
in games against the PC i check F4 nearly every turn. sometimes the oponent gets a "cannot trade" tech which means that he/she just received that tech. that is the ideal time to buy it from another player because it gets cheaper and the AI which just got will often not trade it immediately... so next turn you can use it
sometimes i spend more times looking at stats and overview screens than moving the units
