I'm a bit intrigued by a feature on my map, I have a desert square that is bordered by a river. I thought that that would automatically make it flood plain, but it isn't - it only provides 1 gold coin and no food. I would imagine irrigating it or otherwise building improvements on it will not be possible, but I will check that later. Is that a bug or a feature of map editing?

i've seen desert on corners of rivers which but they did not get that extra coin.
i could imagine that it's a resource on that desert square... some resource you cannot yet see (oil?)
