well, you only just conquered saladin's big cities. and from what my merchant saw in your capital, you have two great scientists just waiting to get something.
i assume you're storing them up until you've got scientific method to instantly get physics and thereby another GS.

anyhow, no worries... score doesn't count much... dauphin was ahead of you and geomodder had nearly as much as i did, and look what happened!

anyhow, i'll offer you 20% beakers over the value of democracy for democracy. if you consider democracy too risky to research (won't help either of us in the battle), we might find something else to trade. astronomy?

actually i've nearly completed SM (just a few beakers left).. i was stuck because you were going for contitution and i needed that for corporation... which is what i'm now going for.

the problem is that every coming tech ruins some nice building. colossus, great lighthouse, monasteries...

no worries. It will take me a couple of turns to finish it also.
The problem is that you have all the nice buidlings and I only have 1.

well, they will be voided soonish, especially the great lighthouse will have to be sacrificed!
the colossus however is too good. my 3 crappy cities to the east basically only work on water tiles... without colossus i'd love something like 20 trade units

so no worries about your great library if i get SM before you!

so the all the wonders only become invalid when the owner of the wonder get the requisite tech? I am sure the previous incarnations it was anyone who get the tech and you lost the wonder.

must have been civ1 or civ2 for i am sure that it wasn't in civ3!

the reason i'm so certain was the great library slingshot where players gifted the great library city to the weakest AI civ and then took it back and instantly got dozens of techs... so they could even win at difficulty levels above sid level!
