Keep the information flowing as we may all be informed

Heck this thread might just turn into one of the 1960's versions where all problems get resolved by the end of the episode

        Read what I posted. Please.

I am not going to baby the people here. I don't bother to check the thread every day. I will not check the thread every day. I will not expect a turn every day, because a turn does not routinely show up every day, never has, never will.

I DO play my turns, with VERY rare exception, right away upon receipt. If you are of the opinion that a turn is stuck on me, I suggest an email to my quite will known email address, with a request as to an update.

PS, I STILL do not have the latest turn, beyond the second one I sent to Grandpa on the 23rd. Not sure which one that was, because I'm at the other computer and I'm not going to run upstairs and check. You guys figure it out, unless someone wants to ask me nicely about the situation.

Meantime, keep the snarky crap to yourself, at least if you want me to respond with some warmth and nicety.

        • People, I am asking once more to lets get along and be adults. If this were in on of my forums I moderated, I might do something a little different, because bickering causes distractions.

I ask, again ASK for all involved to be patient.

One option if that is not good enough is start a new game with players who can play and not be a SmArTaZZ about it, on either side

          OK

who last saw the turn and then we can run it down, if you who has two pc's doesnt feel like helping the situation any by checking the pther pc, there is an option in some email servers to keep a copy on the server for how many days you may need.

This will be my final attempts at rrsolution then Ill simply go play other games with people who want to and understand the necessary committment level.

          • There is obviously something wrong with your email, because George sends you turns, and you never get them. It's not our responsibily to keep an eye on whether or not your email is working. It's your responsibiliy to keep an eye on the game and know whether or not you're supposed to have a turn waiting. If you can't do that, then you shouldn't join games.

And how is wanting you to follow common procedures of PBEM games that prevent these problems, "snarky crap?"

I'm done trying to keep this game going as well. We can continue with occasional week long delays, or not at all. Checking the thread is a very simple way to keep a game moving, but apparently that's too much to ask.

            • how about whoemever send him the save simply attachs it here?
if the save gets too big then zip it up I do that with several people who have email issues.

Just a thought to avoid the next excuse or delay?

              Just suggesting is all

              • That would solve the email issue, but he refuses to check the thread...

                  • Guys, let's not fight like this, this is a good game we have here. Let's be patient and just post here to check on the game's progress when it's delayed. I suppose we're all subscribed to the thread and can get email updates this way.

                      • The reason I put the year on the turn is that I sent two turns on the 23april according to my gmail (I am unsure of the timezone of gmail. I seems to be uk (mine) and PST other times very stange) 625 and 600. Did you get both?
If you took offense I am sorry doug I did not think I was having a go at you, just generally my 2 pence worth.

                        • Yes, George, I got two that day, pleasantly surprised to get the second one on the same day. I played and sent on Turn 600 BC.

I have sent the turn to Grandpa again. From there, we can see where the problem lies. However, I am going to point out that I previously played and sent 600 BC, George doesn't claim to have played a turn after that, so the issue lies somewhere between the two of us, not with EITHER one of us.

I'm going to have a good, hearty laugh when we find out who it is who isn't doing their "duty" here.

                          • Ok, so the email never got to Grandpa then? This game has the weirdest email issues. Maybe spam filters don't like attachments labeled Slaughter...

If you post when you send the turn on, then there's no reason to suspect it's stuck on you. We never had any idea you'd sent 600 to Grandpa until now.

                            • Except, of course, that if it is stuck on Grandpa, he should have, assuming everything that was said about me as a lack was true, have checked, seen nothing, and wondered where the next turn was, and asked me for it.

I look forward to seeing the turn in my mailbox in the morning.

                              • But if you never told anyone you'd sent it, Grandpa would never have had a reason to suspect it was his turn. We all thought it was yours.
