Any plans for a new PitBoss game out there ?

Why is it called Pitboss anyways?

Hey! I dug around — here’s what I found about PitBoss games (the asynchronous multiplayer mode in Civilization V) and the newer Civilization title, Civ VII. Nothing confirms a new official PitBoss mode yet, but there are some clues and possibilities.

🤔 What About PitBoss?


PitBoss in Civ V is beloved because it lets one player act as host and others join in asynchronously, which works well for longer games played sporadically over time. It’s not clear yet whether Civilization VII includes a PitBoss-style mode (or if it will in a future update). I didn’t find any official announcement saying "Yes, PitBoss is coming back in Civ VII" as of now.

There are a few relevant signs:

✅ What You Can Do / Keep an Eye On


If you want PitBoss or something very similar, here are a few suggestions:

1. Watch for Patch Notes & Dev Updates
   Firaxis often adds modes and features post-launch. They might bring in asynchronous / turn-by-turn modes (or revamp PitBoss) in future updates.
2. Modding Community
