Oops, forgot to reenable that. Rebooted twice last night trying to make my video card work for bioshock. Shockingly it doesn't.

A perfectly good x800GTO that is better than 90% of the cards out there, but ATI didn't put SM3.0 in it, so I need a new one

Out Of Sync. Any game that, like Civ4, is peer to peer instead of client/server , has the risk of running out of sync.

That's when the full version of Civ4 running on my computer and the full version of civ4 running on your computer suddenly disagree about what should have happened in a battle, because one of them lost track of the random number sequence, or something happened that caused a random result on one computer to be different than on another computer.

The most common cause of OOS is when one computer doesn't have the right files for the game (different version, modified file, missing file, etc.) and thus has a different interpretation of the rules than other computers.

Ah. Cool, thanks. I'm also not getting that warning anymore when I connect, so it looks like the Steam update is fully in sync now.

I checked it about 9pm last night - got in ok - was waiting for the turn clock to switch over - I am not aware of any problems/issues.

Nope, no issues, logging in to play my turn, it looks like since civStats is finally working we're all just using that more.
