which makes it worse! now you don't micromanage, but you have 100s of MP games in your bones, which may make your city grow 1 turns slower, but your strategy will be perfected for people-oponents

as for my leader choice, i'll try a combo i have never used so far: imperialistic and creative... so cathy.

i'm completely aware that those are both sub-par traits, but i'm hoping that a cute face in the diplomatic window will make y'all give her better deals

I haven't played any MP for the past 7 weeks, and I never played many games against competant opponents that didn't have city elim or turn limits, to be fair. I mainly specialised in team games (3v3, 5v5) and mainly in ren/future era.

Actually I like Cathy in MP games; settlers are cheap, and the auto popping of borders really screws over close neighbours.

I will take Rome, Julius Caesar, if OK by others. A number of games are excluding Rome; the feeling is that the Praetorian's unbalance the game. So, if Rome is out, I will try the Ottomans.

oh, and guys, i'd like to propose a game rule:
no razing of cities with wonders or shrines in it!

in another game i was caught by a surprisingly early naval assault and my fantastic capital was razed to the ground. it had a buddhist shrine (which was spread to 3 nations), about 4 decent wonders and full infrastructure at size 18 or so. rebuilding is _really_ annoying and especially the fact that the shrine is gone is enormously disturbing.

what do you think of this proposal?

oh, sorry if you are one of the best PBEM players. i don't think i have ever played more than 10 turns in a game with you (in which you were killed by sir ralph in the PTW classics game).

but i DO know that the others are great players
