There is currently a Warlords free-for-all SG going on, but with hardly any participants. Egypt's past and future leaders might want to take care of the new-founded Viking empire at http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...hreadid=155691.

          • You are welcome to resurrect the Egyptian empire. Verrucosus has started researching Mass Media and brought our troops towards Ephesus, so we shall get both diplomatic and martial action in the next session!

              • The Egyptian empire is now over five thousand years old, standing as a true monument of longevity in the history of civilisations, however after the recent scientific advances and the slow slide into libertarianism, by instituting free speech and universal suffrage, there are worrying developments in the society..

                1925
The troops stationed near the Greek border cause tensions and there are several border conflicts during the first part of the year, however no serious action is taken until late may when three egyptian infantrymen are reported kidnapped by an infamous greek islamic organisation. Immediately an ultimatum follows from the egyptian government, to free the hostages, but the greek officials fail to give any kind of response triggering declaration of war. A detachment of egyptian fleet consisting mainly of torpedo boats, destroyers and a handful of cruisers takes blockading position near Herakleia in a few days, starting what military experts call 'sparse bombardment' and a few weeks later heraklites can watch egyptian armored troops coming in from the south..

                • ..people would later call this 'The Sitting War', as upon arrival the egyptian 5th Tank Army and the accompanying three mounted armies found themselves in no position to assault the city, due to the heavily fortified defender force - every man, every woman and even children from the age of 12 were armed with some kind of weapon, be it a pistol, rifle or a bottle filled with flammable materiell. Intelligence reported that upon seeing the large cavalry force approaching, local furniture factory has redirected its efforts to producing wodden spears, suddenly being a demanded good.

An unknown cavalry officer has commented the defenders - "They're mad rabbits, mad rabbits in springtime!".

                  • Great work, binTravkin! It looks as though the period from 1925 to 1935 will be the most well-documented one in Egyptian history.

                    • Thanks!
It takes some effort (and time) to write that though, so it will probably not be the quickest..

Anyway, let's bump this so we get someone to finish the glorious story of the Egyptian Empire...

                              • so the saga continues

The consolidation of JC has began

I have sent forth many naval vessdels to eliminate the vile spread of this Julius. Some of our vessels have been lost, but the losses of Julius are huge (2-3 loaded landing craft, several friagtes, caravels.

The only item to worry about is their Gunships.
Several turns of war and a good neighbor traded us flight for cheap.
Several SAM INF have beeen built and sent to the front

One Roman city is in ashes, another 2 are being readied for the same

I am in the process of screenies, give me a little more time

                                85 turns to go
