I just got the turn that was supposed for MFCamillus.
I've forwarded it to MFCamillus. I did see his starting position as I exited the game...

If you're the first player, the game will rename you to the PC name of whoever's machine is running it. It also looks like you won't be able to trade in diplomacy, at least not until a patch comes out.

Or you could try restarting with a dummy player in the #1 slot, haven't heard if that works yet...

          And 4000BC back to MisterGreen

Akulla - you might also try renaming yourself when it comes back to you to see if we can get away from the naming issue, I have not seen if that works yet.

Turn sent, didnt see this thread till after I sent it, so I will try to rename myself next turn. As far as trading goes it will be a while till we all meet so perhaps it will be fixed by then.

Oh, also I noticed we didnt use passwords, and was wondering how to set that up.

Alt + D is the place to set up the password, and change any other related settings, like email address and smtp.

MFC- I renamed myself each turn in the game with jshelr and it has gone back to the PC name each time around...

akulla- you can set up passwords on the launch screen by clicking the icon to the left of each player. You can set an admin paassword from this screen with ctrl-alt-d. Each player can set or reset their own password any turn with alt-d.

                    Turn sent.

Anyone know how to get the save to send within the game. It keeps saying send failed as I was not connected to the stmp server. I have put in the stmp server details though....if I try to put in a username and password for my mail it rejects it too.

I also tried renaming myself to "The Real Dauphin" as akulla still appears as Dauphin on my turn.

                      Quoth alexman:
If different than 25, you can specify the non-default port by entering it after the server name, separated by a colon.

                      Example:
                      smtp.gmail.com:465

However, Civ4 does not support SSL at this time, so gmail will not work. Other servers that do not require SSL should work.

I sent a turn (and resent) since that slip up... I don't think it happened twice did it?
