At least it's warm - and we got back to find that the hotel gardfening team have completely redesigned and replanted our backyard.

Awesome. We have a heat wave here. over 40C the last two days, and they reckon more to come. Weather.com says over 40 until Sunday, won't be below 35 till Tuesday.

Crikey, hopefully that doesn't last too long. My biggest problem is that pretty much every day it's over 40C, we lose power supply in the evening, so no A/C. Yes - a little temperature trade would work well.
And now we have a major winter storm coming through. 25 to 30 cm of snow and high winds. Doesn't get much more fun than this.
