Sure Paddy

Basically its a military/sports term.

In military, you flank and then go behind toward the rear of the approaching enemy units, basically the jist is that a settlement or group of citizens further away from actual battle are safe and therefore your not looking for an attack.

In sports, you get the players moving in one direction with a deke or fake, then send one of your fastest players around the end to get a score.

It sometimes is more commonly known as a Wheel End maneuver because a wheel has an axle and the wheel rolls around the axle, and in this application, your movement is similiar to the path a wheel takes place, WAY AROUND, away from the axle
