Wittlich, may i ask how you decided on the nick? there's a town with that name (Wittlich) a scarce 8 kilometres from the village i grew up in and right now once more live in, i also went to school in that town for 9 years
it was pretty much the centre of my world until i grew 18
Wittlich seems to be a regular american lastname as well though, i imagine you took it from there or maybe it's just your actual nameComment

LOL! Actually, I spent 15 years stationed in Germany while in the Army. I visited the town of Wittllich on many occasions (especially during the annual "Wittlicher Pig Fest"!) Good times were had by all.
I actually fell in love with the town and decided to take it's name as my own...so you are right SebP - I am named after the town of Wittlich, Germany.
You are a VERY few who make the connection.

Haha, really, so you were stationed in Spangdahlem i presume? And for 15 years? Small World... I actually lived in Binsfeld until i was 6 years old, very close to the base. Then moved to another village in the area

Yes, Spangdahlem was one of the bases where I was stationed (from 1986 -1989) - and I lived in Bickendorf (just north of Bitburg) at that time.
Other places I was stationed were: Heilbronn, Stuttgart, Darmstadt, Schaebisch-Gmuend, Spangdahlem, and Kaiserslautern.____________________________

Intersting, I spent 17yrs in the Navy been to Germany many times. In fact my dad was Air Force and I was born in Germany when he was stationed there.The stupid shall be punished.

My only connection with Germany is going to Munich for Oktoberfest, and drinking lots of German beers in general.
