How does it affect the game? Have you guys patched already or waiting until everyone confirms they have it? Should I patch before I get the file or after? If you guys have patched already, will Rasp need to have patched before he plays his turn?

Reply from meAs with previous Civ4 patches, you need to clear your admin password before upgrading. Did you do that?
When you have an admin password for your game, saves with a different checksum than what you have on your machine will not load (to prevent cheating).

So, I should re-install Warlords, open save, clear admin password, then play save, then pass on save, then upgrade.

Yes, that would work, but then there would be no more admin password.

FeMme and I have already patched, although she may have to unpatch to play it, play in unpatched Warlords and send on save, then re-apply patch (like i have just done).
When you get the next save Strudo, you need to follow Alexman's instructions above.
We all need to be patcheed to continue I think
