Guys, is it possible to switch from PBEM to turn-based MP and back? I think I heard it was possible... I was thinking... for example yesterday, it was obvious we were all sitting at our rigs, playing turns almost instantly after getting saves.

While I am not keen on any simulturn MP, I would most probably like a turn-based, timer-free MP game... and it might speed us up even more.

I'm not sure if you can switch game modes like that... I'm thinking you can't.

Pitboss would probably be the ideal solution here if you guys are willing to start over, but I'm not able to run a persistent server.

Woah, I'm wrong. I just successfully loaded my PBEM turn into Direct IP. I haven't confirmed it'll run since I don't have you guys joining, but since it loaded at all (and correctly identified the civ choices) I think it may be possible.

Only thing I'm not sure of is how to convert back to PBEM after a multi session...
