      look... i'm in 11 games.
some people, like grampa troll, paddy the scot, myself, etc. post in every single game every single turn.
other people, don't post at all.
and the rest are somewhere between...

in some games (like all paddy games) it was actually a condition for participating that you always post.

so you can do whatever you want in however many threads you want... but please let me post all my turns in the appropriate tracker threads like i have been doing over the last 3 years. thanks

sorry I didn't mean to nag you; you are of course at liberty to post wherever you like and I will make no more objections. But out of curiosity, is it somehow more convenient for you to post in separate forums or is it simply that keeping yourself to a one-game one-forum absolute rule appeals to your sensibilities?

well, the habbit of posting each turn comes from the amount of games that have died because people didn't post. especially when people start losing interest in games and take longer and longer to play, rounds can take a week or two. and if people don't post, after 2 week someone may ask "hey, where's the game?". often it turns out that somebody forgot it or never received the email or so. so that's why i also insist on players posting in the games i started.

your question is very valid, why post in a second game where the exactly the same people are playing anyhow. and honestly, i cannot really give you a convincing answer. except maybe another time in such a situation where the turns got much longer and the games suddenly started splitting up (eg. i can play 1 game turn before i go to work, no time for more).

but anyhow, the easiest way is to subscribe to both threads, and bookmark the subscription overview page: http://apolyton.net/forums/member2.p...ewsubscription

after getting the emails i just open new tabs (firefox browser, but also with newest IE version) of each game that's waiting for me

                        both to sabre

I have a questions for you all:

Is it possible to acquire, as part of your trade network, a resource which is within your cultural borders but separated by sea from a land-route with one of your cities. For example, when Krazy has built a road and plantation north of Lumphold, will he actually get the use of those bananas?

lumpkin: yes, he will be able to get it via your city as long as we are at peace. but if you rush-buy that theatre and library the banana will be yours by the time he will have completed it

how about a theoretical island chain containing, oh let's say silver and whales... if I were to build on the single-tile island near the whales and then wait for my cultural borders to encompass the silver... would I still get the silver even though it wouldn't be connected by road to any city at all, friendly or otherwise?

Hey now, answer my question, Mr. Apolyton University. What is the advantage of spreading your religion to other human civs?
Where are you from? Put yourself on the Apolyton Map!

ooh ooh i can answer that one. There are two advantages of spreading your religion to other civs...

                                1) Your converts in a foreign city give you a line of sight in that city so you can see what units are there. The religion must be your state religion for this to work. Possibly you need your religion's shrine for this to work, I can't remember.

                                2) You get one gold per turn for every city that has a religion for which you control the shrine (it does not have to be your state religion).

So there you go: the advantages are money and intelligence.
