by the way, patch is out (try hitting update within the game. mirrored files download of the v1.52 update will probably be available soon...)

i vote for patching immediately, but will only do so when a majority of the PBEMs decide to do that.
from what i have read, this patch is great and improves many things!
what do you guys think?

Ok, I have the new patch, tried to play my turn, and got this. Then, the game quit to the desktop.

Any ideas?

How come nobody else is having this problem? I tried my other PBEM games and none of them work. So, shall we just hold off, and wait for Firaxis to do something, or continue playing on 1.09?

Maybe the mirrored download was tainted or something. I got it from here, not from the automatic in-game thing. But by the screenshot in another forum, I see you got yours in game and have the same problem.

I went ahead and played my turn with 1.09, or whatever it was. So if the new version actually works for some people, maybe once the game is saved as that version, it'll work for the rest of us?

So, if you successfully play your turn with the new patch, make sure and tell us.

i couldn't upgrade without the load patch, so i reverted to 1.09 and played it like that...

us PBEMers are just being cheated for our fun every single patch. it's getting truly annoying!!!
