so in one century (20 turns), you got yourselves printing press, banking, steel and some preresearched other stuff... not bad... had you had this pace earlier on, we wouldn't be this far ahead

What? We don't have Steel. If you want us to, be my guest. Nothing was preresearched either. It's funny though, Krazy starts to research something, 23 turns. I join in, 7 turns... But then what do you expect, he's basically on a desert island.

Being so far behind is really my fault. Krazy had a much better start than me. I expanded too quickly and neglected cottages...

As for academies... all I get are stupid Great Prophets...

sorry, i meant chemistry, not steel.

as for research: it was similar with us: lumpy has more GNP (being financial and so), but because he did not have a great research infrastructure, i was close to double as productive in that area (also because i can run 100% and he only 80%). but now he's got a golden age and lots of water tiles with libraries and his research is very close to mine

great prophets??? well, how about we trade next time... you get a great scientist (or engineer or whatever comes) and we get the prophet. confucianism needs a shrine
