well..i press trhe blinking circle to go to next turn its lower right about 1/3rd up from bottom just in toward center

its green during active and reddish when turn ends

Names have been changed to protect the innocent.

If you start a 'dummy' human in slot 1 and retire them, the AI should take over that civ. (could cause other problems down the line though...)
