My IP for this computer has been that for a long time. The local IP for the router is 198.162.1.2
Now, for some reason, it sees my PC as 198.162.1.4
Oh well. Thanks for keeping on trying till I got it set.

Ahh, that's a possible occurence if you're using DHCP (usually default) for your internal IP assignments. If your computer lost track of the router but still had the DHCP reservation for longer (often it will keep it for a while reserved), it's quite possible that it was assigned a new one, second in the queue.Originally posted by BigFree

To avoid that you should be able to assign a 'static' IP to your computer, by MAC address of the ethernet card or wireless card. Then it will be always the same no matter what (and if someone else brings a computer over, there's no risk of your computer ending up on a different address).<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

I am transfering to Papua New Guinea with work - and I will not have any PC contact for about 4 weeks.
As such FeMme will be subbing for me in this game until I can get back into it.
I should mention that FeMme and RobWorham are married to each other - just to nice and open and honest.
This will not cause any issues in this game - trust me I have played many games with them.

That was a bit weird - 8 players had finished their turn, and the turn timer had about 17 hours to go, but the next turn came around.Comment
