Ok...After reviewing CivStats, here are the civs still up for grabs:

      Churchill - England

      Isabella - Spain

      Louis XIV - France

      Montezuma - Aztecs

      Are there any takers?

Well, when I restart, I'll be taking requests for civs, so if you want a specific civ, I can reserve it for you. So don't feel limited by the civs taken, since this will be a restart.

How will you do that WVU? I would have to say that civ choice should go to a lottery so to speak - random names chosen and they get their pick of a civ.

If people send you their request, you know that there will be duplication, triplication, and more.

I for one am thinking that everyone's names should basically be placed in a hat (random) and just picked for their chance to pick their civ....of course, since you are hosting this WVU, how you go about it is your choice.

In past experience, there's not as much demand for a single type of civ as much as you may think. People have a pretty wide variety of likes and dislikes.

Most, to be frank, won't care and won't ask for a specific sim. If there are duplications, I'll randomly pick (a hat is a good method) of whom gets that civ and who doesn't. The one that doesn't get their pick would be able to pick a different civ.

Again, from my experience, a great number of players actually won't pick a preference.

Just for the record, I have to bail out on any map bigger then Standard size due to computer capability issues.

Good luck with the game and I'm sure you'll find a replacement quite quick.

This is the first time I've tried a Fantasy Map. Have you had bad experiences with it?

Well, besides seeing bananas growing on ice...

I think the game limits resorces. Like, instead of all resorces being found somewhere in the world, the game limits it to like 5 or so.

So you may get a game with no iron, or no spice...

I may be wrong, but i think that is how it works.

We're averaging a little over 17 hours per turn, and there's been no one to miss a single turn (without letting me know in advance), so great job everyone!

Is everyone getting email notifications? Please lemme know if you aren't.
