Me, I'm a Dewalt kind of guy.
Although I was really pleased for Johnson. Well deserved! It was a pretty good season I thought.
btw - we are still waiting for the right kind of money up here in Canada to (a) build a track and (b) establish a race. NASCAR's gone to Mexico; why not north?
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.
First and foremost... Gamespy server is all messed up right now. I will start the game as soon as it is stable (hoping tonight).
As for NASCAR, i am sad to say i was just joking about loving it. (I'm not fat or ignorant either, hehe).
I actually lived in Richmond for a couple years, about 3 miles from the track. I used to hate it when the race was in town cuz traffic would be backed up for miles. I remember one time my wife and kid went to a nature park near the track during a race. We were the only ones there for hours. When a couple did show up, they had NY plates, lol. Only yankees at the park that day. You figure Richmond has no professional sports teams, but they got a race track. That makes for ALOT of fanatical fans.
My guess as to why there are no tracks in Canada... the weather. We got the Poconos here in PA, but i think that is the northern most track.
I might get into NASCAR if they attached tire shreading spikes to their wheels ala Ben Hur, or even machine guns ala Mad Max, but until then I just don't grasp the interest factor.
NASCAR in Mexico? I can see it now, pit teams stealing tires off other pit teams. Drivers knifing each other. God im racist.
I have been to Mexico though, so i can speak from experience. Only vacation where i felt compelled to keep my money in my shoe.
GS seems to have been okay for the last bit now. If GS is in a longer term issue, you actually can make it as a directIP game, and then change it to Gamespy when that stabilizes. It goes back and forth at your choice, all you do is load it under one or the other on the PTBS program.

Ya, its tough to get out of my igloo in those July snowstorms, and take my dogsled to the track.
btw - it was 14 deg C here the other day. That's about 55 deg F for those nations which still have yet to figure out the metric system.
No, the weather up here is fine for auto racing from mid-April to October. The Grand Prix (Formula One) is held in Montreal in June, and the Canadian Open, a PGA tour event (golf) is held in the second week of September. It is a function of having a track and a sponsor. With NASCAR's growing popularity and commercial pull, it is probably just a matter of time.
We Canadians always joke in July, when there is a heat wave and the temperature is up in the 90 to 100 degree F range, about seeing Americans up here with skis on the top of their cars, looking for an open ski hill and a break from the heat. Nice cold Budweiser anyone? Or how about Keith's IPA?

You do have a point. I have gone camping in the Algonquins during summer and it can get hot.
I change my guess as to why no tracks... not enough rednecks up in Canada. Same reason why 90% of the tracks here in America are below the Mason Dixion line.

My wife came home from work and wanted to check her email. I told her no more turning the computer off. So what does she do when she is done checking her email?
