The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

I just played mine, only Gyathaar left. I relogged in after my turn so there is an autosave post-me if you want to reload that tomorrow for Gyathaar to play when he's able?

Anyway, am not running at full cognitative force after a heart attack. Blake please stay home or visit someone else.
Although I am sympathetic, I still need to do what is right, strategically. It's one of those things where if the game is interfering with real life, then the solution is to not be playing the game... I know it's difficult to find substitutes (especially subs for subs, heh), but unfortunately that's how it is.
You may take heart (ahemmm) that for now Vondrack's army is sufficient to give my forces pause... I mean it's not really that threatening but if I devoted enough units to overpowering Vondrack I'd be leaving myself uncomfortably vulnerable to the east. I think that if Vondrack continues to reinforce Japan, it'll be fairly safe from attack... but if say Vondrack should lose a lot of his army (like say though strategic ineptitude), then I'd be forced to capitalize on that...
I'd have no problem offering Japan a formal peace treaty because I don't even want to be at war with Japan (meaning I bear no grudge and don't want your stuff), but as long as Japan wishes to be a shield for Egypt then... well yeah... as long as I'm at war with Egypt I need either open borders with Japan, or the option to plow my armies through Japan. That's how it is.
(Make no mistake, Japan is protecting Egypt, not the other way around, I don't want to invade Japan I just need passage...)
Hey, Blake, there was a smiley in Nolan's post () you forgot to quote! I don't think she's really asking you to let her be... I'm sure she can handle a couple of Celtic units lost in jungle even if recovering from a heart-attack.
I am going to keep reinforcing Japan and don't plan on losing a lot of my army (unless, of course, my strategic ineptitude kicks in - which can happen pretty much any time... ), so we should not have a problem anyway...
Vondrack is right. I will do my share, but its slow going for me.
I tried to check in to our game but locked up twice on login. I had to restart the game after doing control alt delte.
I'd wondered if it was Gamesfry Frying our games again this weekend. We had a tournament going last weekend and had to cancel it twice. This weekend seems to be the same problem.
I have the C4f program that bridges the games lobbies and went exploring. Folks in bts lobby are having problems. The Warlords lobby was empty and the C3C lobby was empty as well. There were players in the bts lobby, but they could not enter or resume/enter games.
Next weekend the group has a Clan championship with 13 events lasting 3 days. We start at 3 pm Friday edt and finish them Sunday afternoon or evening, depending on how fast they can kill each other. =P
It will be an incredible strain for me as Head Tourney Director to handle all of that testosterone if the servers act up for us.
Hopefully they will have someone we can call or someone can check on our behalf. You have no idea what a mess it would be if the servers mess up next weekend!!
During my hiatus, I think I missed the reason for running this through Gamesty instead of direct IP. Is it needed to resolve firewall issues for some people?

It would be too much troubles for Alex to set the game up as a Direct IP game (corporate firewall and stuff).

It's back up. I feel the pain, but I'm sure Gamespy was not designed for games that can last for years, not hours, like Civ4 pitboss.
How about designing Civ4 Pitboss to be able to live with something so inherently unreliable as GS then?
Something like a "live ticker" feature that would reinstate the game automatically every N hours, should the GS servers go down in flames... Is it even possible to detect programatically that GS has crashed and the server game needs to be restarted?
