I am pleased to say that with snoop's continued patience and guidance, I think I may have finally solved my connection issues. The problem would appear to be with the router - and the combination of extending the port forwarding and using a DMZ has allowed me to now connect consistently with this game.Originally posted by Beta

Many thanks to snoop and to conmcb25 who covered for the last few turns while this was getting straightened away.
Bear with me on this folks - but I am a techno-noob - so I am therefore doubly pleased - and surprised - when something works.
