Excerpt of notes on progress found in personal journal after death of investigator Junayd:

"..at which point it is told that superfluous materials cannot be redeemed and is furthermore not to be trusted from source already named. After findings belonging to first subject, now deceased, the second source is rendered moot and we are at square four three seven in the grid. Names to be subjected as follows.."

"..whole or otherwise damaged in any way will be detained, the guards questioned and all attributes cleansed. This method to be used in extreme cases, repeat, extreme cases only. The upside being many names confirmed, subjects both redeemed and doomed. All in all a very valuable effort, highly notorious though it may be.."

"..however, official stories are pushing the work on to me and among the subjects I have completed seven, three, nine, fourteen and six. No word on twenty-seven or nineteen, I have assigned Kareem to follow them up. Holding in place will be better for the time being, as relocation needs more planning to be successful. Next on my list is twelve, and I have another idea to put forward.."

"..and followed up on a daily basis the redeemed subjects are now fully integrated without suspicion.."

                Report from Scandanavia:

Massive powereful Persian fleet of some 8 Frigates, Carracks and Galleons spotted holding position in the northern channel off the coast of Fire Mountain in English waters. Intentions of this fearsome warfleet are unknown, as Persia has cut off communications and started an espionage campaign against Netherlands.

With the new information concerning a joint Greek-English armada forming, our investigators are puzzled, as there is are no fleets in the Atlantic save for the English sentry patrols. What could possibly be the goal of a naval exercise? Investigation ongoing.

New developments in this region worthy of note. Following the crushing defeat of the Holy Roma at the hands of the Ottomans, Persians and Greeks, many of the northern Holy Roma territories with high Netherlands populations were clamouring to join the benevolent Netherlands Kingdom. An arrangement has been made to accept those city-states into the Kingdom with the blessing of the Ottoman ruler.

                Reports from the Mediterranean:

Trade ships traveling the lucrative trade routes around the Mediterranean report seeing amazing new developments in the ever-astonishing lands of Greece. Rumors circulated by Persian merchants have been confirmed, Greece has developed new and even more powerful weapons that ever dreamed of. Large artillery weapons, reportedly thrice as powerful as any mangonel, onager, trebuchet, or any other catapult-type weapon have been seen in Greece.

The merchants also report that the Greeks have developed a new type of gun, larger than any rifle, and capable of firing repeatedly without stopping to reload, which was the principle weakness of the current Musket and Rifle designs. The weapon is very large and cumbersome, too heavy to be carried in any offensive attack, but could still serve as a powerful defensive weapon. Even more interesting, is the possibility that Greece may develop this technology even further, into "machine-guns" as they are called, that can be carried like the modern rifle.

Greece has not only been busy making weapons of war. We have reports that a new company, the first of its kind in size and scope, has been founded in Greece. This "corporation" as it has been dubbed, is adept at refining mined metals to increase the production capability of the cities where it operates. Greece has already put this new productiveity to use, fabricating metal rails out of a new material called "steel" that allows them to build tracks to carry a steam powered vehicle called a steam locomotive. We have not determined what the implications of this will be, but we anticipate it will serve to make Greece even more productive and tecnologically advanced.

The advances of the Greeks continue to shock and amaze even our most imaginative scientists.

In the absence of light, darkness will spread.
In the absence of darkness, souls do not learn.
When you see no light, when you feel no darkness,
be mindful of your self, for your soul will dim and darkness spread to those who do not seek the light.
-spoken by the prophet Abdul Al-hazred, Mecca, 1608 AD.

A man listens to that which he can see, and see that which he can hear, but both can be denied and shut out by that most prevalent and important of senses; touch.

In this presence, his presence, much was told by touch alone. Often he sat in a dark room to hear what he could not see, and see what he could not hear. From this he gained enlightenment. So he spoke, and so they felt his words like sunlight on their bare skin.

He was not among the prophets named in the holy book, and many were filled with doubt, failing to understand what Allah truly stood for. These were troubled times, and a dark age for those who sought illumination.
