    The Leftsea Gulf...

"Captain!" The young crewman in the crow's nest called out... "I've spotted the Fleet that bombarded the Queen's Port! They are making port in Tlaxcala 45 degrees North by Northwest!"

The Captain picked up the speaker-horn and called into it ... "Engine Room, can we overtake the fleeing vessels?"

The Cheif engineer's voice crackled , admidst static , clanging and schreeching, "I'm givin er ahl she's gaht Captain!"

"Alright then!" the Captain shouted "All hands prepare for battle! We'll chase them to Tlaxcala and prepare for them to come out , guns blazing. We have finally cornered them at long last and they arent getting out on my watch! Suleiman would have my head!"

"He'd have ALL of our heads" The Captain thought to himself...

John (F. Kennedy) was walking through his (white) house....
Barefoot.... Jacky wasn't supposed to hear him.
"The beauty of this house is that it's that large! I am sure that Jacky will never find us here, Marilyn!" John said.
"You have no business with the war?" the voice of a woman asked.
"War? What war? Follow me, did you ever do it on Lincoln's desk?"

The fishing boat slowed down and began to drift in the waves. The captain reached overboard and picked up one of the timbers: some French word etched in the wood with "Property of the Aztec Empire" crudely painted underneath.

"What an odd find, and so fresh still," he remarked and pulled the plank in to the ship.

"Well, this will make a fine showpiece for my home," he said to his first mate as the engine started up again, and they returned to hunting the elusive Leftsea Whale.

          The Magnificent's last Mission...

Night... Aboard a Turkish Galleon assigned to carry the Marines...

The Admiral of the fleet was nervous. Such an audacious thing had never been attempted by him. He asked what the rammifications of attacking Havana would be... He worried it would infuriate the Queen, who loved the Americans, and who after-all, had not yet beheaded anyone... He was not anxious to be the first.

But then a young Marine officer handed him an encoded document...

He engaged the decoding device to decipher the message. It read... "New Orders. Top priority. Capture of Havana canceled by Order of Queen Irina. New Target assigned by order of the Sultan. Move the invasion fleet to Texcoco. Send 2 detachments to other locations. Send first to central Azteca and await orders. The second will perform classified mission. Consult Commanding Officer for details. End of Communication.

The Admiral of the Marines fleet was distressed... Not only was he tasked with the most important mission the Navy had ever undertaken, but his Commanding Officer, the Chief Naval Advisor, was actually aboard his flagship to observe... He went to the Commanding Officer's quarters, not knowing what to expect...

Moments later, An argument was already brewing between himself and his superior... The later had ordered the second detachment to travel to the port of Tlaxcala for a mission of unspeakable danger.

Tlaxcala was a Fortress, swarming with Viking Machine Guns and housing the Fearsome French fleet, flying Azteca flags of course... And now the Chief Naval Advisor was directing him to sent one Marine group in one ship to take on the entire fleet? "How could this be possible?" he thought... And then his Commanding Officer was suggesting that he, the Chief Naval Advisor alone would undertake the mission with a few Marines as bodyguards to wait for him on shore... This was too much for the Admiral to comprehend...

"But your Grace!" the Admiral protested, "It goes against all protocol! Surely one of the Marines could..."

The superior cut him off... "I am Suleiman. All know to fear my name. And I fear nothing. What must be done can only be done by me. And what must be done shall be done. I am Suleiman. I am the wind. I am the ocean. I am the wrath of the Sultan. I am the vengeance of Turkey. And now I am the voice of the murdered citizens of Tlaxcala... I am Justice. I am Suleiman. Sacker of Hebron, sacker of Havana, sacker of Ai, sacker of Miami, sacker of Grunzen City, sacker of Nain, Savior of the Zulu, Avenger of Ekron Oasis. I am Suleiman." Without another word, Suleiman handed the Admiral a letter.

The Admiral saw that the letter was a sealed communique from the famed Russian Spy, Natasha herself.

It was signed with her signature lipstick mark, and read... "Dearest Sultan, Through my sexiest Viking sources, I have determined the exact position of all Viking defenses in Tlaxcala, and enclosed a Map. With this information, your agents should be able to slip past the Viking defenders and determine the strength of the Aztec Fleet hiding in Tlaxcala, maybe even cause havoc among the Azteca soldiers there. Comrade Catherine feels that it is the prospect of upgrading this fleet has driven the Azteca King Mad. Unfortunately, I fear that the only Officer capable of executing this mission is either myself, or your Chief Naval Advisor, Suleiman... No other officer posseses the necessary skills..."

The Admiral hung his head in sorrow... a barely perceptable gloss of emotion covered his War-hardened eyes... "Yes Sir" he replied, "I will Obey your Command. We are your Marines and our love for you will fortify us. Go with the blessings of the Brahman."

The gaze of Suleiman softened... and he handed the Admiral a roll of scented parchment... "If I do not return, Be sure the lady Aysecan receives this letter. Now I will show you now how a Naval operation is conducted. Remember what I do here today... For the Sultan, For Turkey, and for..." his voice cracked... "Aysecan... my belov..." he paused "Enough!... I go!"

And with that, Suleiman the Magnificent stepped onto the rail of the ship and dove into the Leftsea Gulf, swimming for Tlaxcala harbor. Soon he was out of sight in the black night waters.

          The Mission...

Under cover of night, Suleiman was able to swim into the port where the Azteca Navy was hiding. He used Natasha's Map to slip by the Vikings and then immediately go to work.

Using heavy chains that Natasha left for him, he swam swiftly underwater, from ship to ship, lashing each one to the next, taking care to lash the Heaviest ones first, untill all 30 Azteca ships were tied together. Suleiman was, true to his name, magnificent. Natasha had taught him well in the art of invisibilty.

Once all the ships were lashed together by chain, Suleiman boarded the First ship in the chain. Stealthily moving in the night shadows, he was able to disable the night watchman, and take his torch. He immediately poured a cup of oil onto the deck, threw the torch to the deck and dove again into the black waters of the Gulf. Only this time, he was exhausted, and he quietly came ashore in Tlaxcala.

When the first ship caught fire, it was a Marvel to behold. The ships caught fire, one after the other after the other, and the sailors aboard were powerless to stop it. Because the ships had been adeptly chained together, the ones on the outsides could not escape, and their burning hulks blocked the others from escaping.

As the heavier ships caught fire and sank, they began to drag the on the lighter ships, and thefore fell like Dominoes. Soon the whole harbour was a blazing inferno of burning and sinking ships...

When all was said and done, the entire Aztec fleet, some 30 vessels, was at the bottom of the Gulf... serving as a playground for tropical fish.

Thus did Suleiman destroy the Azteca fleet. Many attack troops were found to be aboard the vessels, And Suleiman heard them abandoning ship... There was a mixture of French and Azteca screams as they perished beneath the waves...

"Ah, my dearest Natasha!" Catherine clapped her hands in delight when the serious young Russian Foreign Department officer and a top-notch spy Comrade Natasha entered the room. "My congratulations for your last mission. Your cooperation with Suleiman results exceeded my bravest expectations! Congratulations!"

"Thank you, Comrade for your kind words, but I fear this is only a small step on a long and thorny way of securing Russia's safety. The latest intelligence reports show that the Neandors are arming themselves with unbelievable speed - our Krasnaia Armia is no longer the mightiest army in the World, Catherine. To add to this the Neandors have built a training and command facility, called The Pentagon. From now on, all their soldiers will be better trained. So not only they possess the biggest army in the World, but their soldiers are real bad-ass veterans."

"Thats not good, Natasha... Especially when from the Great NAP there are only about 10 turns left. Do this means they are preparing for yet another terrifying war?"

"We cant be sure yet, Catherine, but this armament race, combined with the ruthless approach the Vikings are using in attempt to get Oil, it bodes nothing good."

Presidential residence, Mecca, in a late hour.

-Ah, Mr. Rasil, anything I can do for you?
-Not much, Mr President, just an informal visit, we haven't talked for a while.
-Well, you get along with my son as I've heard, making him one of the managers in your organization, things make me wonder how much you wait my resignation.
-Nah, he he, we are never in hurry, you know, though the ALDWO thinks we may need to start playing bigger part in world politics, using some of your official contacts even.
-Really? And what will you say when someone wonders what does the name ALDWO stand for?
-The Arab League-Democratic World Order of course.
              -Very original... but I don't think it's a good idea. A drink?
-Just water, please -Mr Rasil smiled. - the ALDWO wants only water.

                Rumors of rekindled Romance

Sources close to the administration have informed us of a renewed romance between long-time, off again, on-again lovers, Suleiman and Aysecan. Our source, connected to the Sultan's Navy, has reported that Suleiman sent a final love letter/suicide note to his beloved before going off on what was apparently a suicide mission from the Sultan. It seems Sultan Ahmed may have finally gotten rid of his longtime Rival.

Unfortunately for the Sultan, the removal of Suleiman from the picture may have happened too late. Our sources say that lady Aysecan is rumored to be pregnant with Suleiman's child. As always, both Suleiman and Sultan Ahmed's representatives refused to talk with us. We will keep you posted on this juiciest of stories...

Queen wears the pants in American affairs

A senior administrator in the Turkish government has informed us that depite what has been reported in the Daily Turkey, it was not the Sultan at all that reached out to the Americans with an offer of unofficial peace. The administrator informed us that it was actually Queen Irina, the famed leader of the Accolytes, who brokered a deal with the Americans, and then either persuaded the Sultan to go along with it, or sent the Orders herself. Apparently, the Queen still has great sway over His Majesty, especially in matters involving the Americas.

                Affairs of the American President

The Sexxstanbul's dogged reporters have determined the identity of the American President's favourite Mistress. She is an actress/singer named Marilyn Monroe. Ever since America was given the nod-wink peace treaty from Queen Irina, the President has been relaxing and partying with his hot young lady-toy. With the real stresses of war firmly on the shoulders of the Azteca, the American President has not a care in the world, and instead spends his time wining and dining his many Mistresses.

French King Drinks himself into a stupor after getting bad news

Our correspondents in the French Court witnessed the French King becoming what they described as "unhinged" upon hearing the news that their entire fleet had been lost in Tlaxcala. He reportedly called for wine, and then more wine, and then more still, until he was pissing his pants in a drunken stupor. The King then called for there to be music and entertainment and to forget "All this messy ridiculous business with the Aztec savages!"

Witnesses also reported hearing the King say, "I've pissed my pants and no one can do anything about it!" Then the King reportedly stood up, drew an American made revolver from his belt, put the barrel to his head, and shouted "The King is Dead! Long live the King!"

Of course, everyone in attendance screamed at the King not to do this, and several of the ladies fainted. Then the King laughed, placed the gun back in his belt and reportedly said "I was just bullsh!#ting! And you well know this, Madame!" Then the King slumped down in his chair and passed out at the table. He had to be helped to his chambers by Royal guards. The French Ambassador has refused to comment, but we will keep you posted on any new information...

                  The Daily Turkey

                  Death of Suleiman the Magnificent

We have recieved confirmation that Chief Naval Advisor Suleiman the Magnificent was lost in the course of completing a perilous mission. Our sources report that the Magnificent One was able to slip past Viking forces, singlehandedly destroy an antire Azteca fleet of nearly 50 vessels, overpower and drown over 30 divisions of enemy soldiers, and then with the help of his detachment of Rifleman bodyguards, defeat 5 divisions of enemy Military sent to capture him, before falling to a sixth.

Suleiman and his men were reportedly cornered in an old Tlaxcalan church called the "Alamo Monastery." Using the earthen walls of the modest church, Suleiman and his crackshot guards were able to fell scores upon scores of enemies before being overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Aparently the Azteca King caught wind that the dreaded Sulieman the Magnificent was the one responsible for his crushing defeat, and he was willing to kill the Legendary Turkish Warrior at all cost. The Alamo was surrounded and then an all out assault commenced, that resulted in the death of the Legendary Turkish Marine.

The reports of Suleiman's heroic exploits against the Azteca, culminating in his martyrdom are almost beyond belief, and will certainly inspire generations of Turkish Military. The slogan "Remember the Alamo" is already becoming the preferred rallying cry of Marines in the Leftsea. Regardless of what is truth and what is legend, One thing is certain, the Azteca fleet that attacked port Irina is wrecked, at the bottom of the Leftsea Gulf.

The Marines that recovered the bodies of Suleiman and his bodyguards reported that there were inummerable scores and scores of Azteca dead, laying at the feet of Suleiman and his personal guard. It was clear that the brave warriors had faced wave after wave of endless enemy soldiers, and finally sucumbed to the overwhelming odds.

Even more telling, was how the cowardly Azteca Cavalry fled at the sight of the Marines landing to recover Suleiman. Rather than stand and face the mighty Marines, the Cavalry fled back to hide in their Capital, Tenochtitlan. It seems that having had a taste of the bravery and prowess of the Turkish Marines, they were eager to escape rather than face the fate of their fallen comrades.

                  Aysecan denies pregnancy rumors

Lady Aysecan has publicly denied that she is pregnant with any child, let alone Suleiman's. This statement is in direct contradiction of the scandalous story printed by the Sexxstanbul. The Daily Turkey will print any credible developments...

Suleiman buried at State... Supreme Commander Jamal re-called to service

Suleiman the Magnificent was given a full Military funeral in Istanbul, along with extra pomp and circumstance befitting a Sultan. No expense was spared, and there were hundreds of thousands on hand to mourn "The Magnificent Martyr" as he is now being called.

With the Death of Chief Naval advisor and acting Commander Suleiman, there is a void in military leadership. The Sultan has recalled Supreme Commander Jamal to service. Reports are that he has left the completion and publishing of his "Great Treatise of International Law" to his partner former Substitute High Messenger, Mahmud. Publication is scheduled later in the year.

After sending official notes to both King Camaxtli the Azteca and Jarl Eirikson of Valhalla and after waiting for some good 24 hours to hear from them with no result, Russia had declared war to the Aztecs. The sole goal of this war is to convince the Aztecs to ask back their highly disputed city of Tlaxcala and the Valhalla to liberate the city back to its original owners the Aztec people. When this happens Russia will withdraw immediately from the war scene and will eagerly sign peace and works together with the Aztecs.

We reach out to your common sense, crowned leaders of your nations.

                      Proletarians of all countries, unite!

                        • The Aztec diplomatic service had been trying to reach Camaxtli for 18 hours, as the Russian ultimatum was close to expire.
Finally they reached him, and there he was, sitting at his desk.

“Men, this is a chicken game..
listen to my words, the Russians will back down..
they will realize that their demands are unreasonable..

trust me they will back down..
our Aztec army and navy are the greatest in the world..
they will realize that they will loose..”

                          “but Sire..”

“don’t interrupt me, I AM THE KING.. I will not be interrupted..”

Then Prince Xochipilli shouts: “but father you clearly are not seeing things clearly..”

“Guards, seize this man now.. NOW I said, I SAID IN WILL NOT BE INTERRUPTED.
Throw him in the dungeons. ”

Later that night, as the Russians had attacked 6 hours before the ultimatum had expired, and both Tlatelolco and Teotihua Canal were burning ..

                          Comment

                          • Reports indicate a rebellion in Azteca.

Troops have been stationed at entrance points around the Ballpark square with soldiers forming barricades across streets and alleyways.
In another departure from ordinary Tenochtitlan life, people quickly formed orderly queues to get through the army checkpoints.
Soldiers frisked people and checked their identification cards. One soldier said they were making sure no one with police or state security credentials could enter.

Reports are widespread that many of the looters in Tenochtitlan are, in fact, remnants of the police and state security forces that were forced into a full retreat during Friday’s mass street revolt. In addition, hundreds, perhaps thousands, of prisoners were released from prisons in Texcoco. Many believe it’s all part of an organized campaign by the regime of king Camaxtli to create lawlessness in the city in a last gasp attempt to maintain its grip on power. The headline of Tenochtitlan today blared: “Conspiracy by Interior Ministry to Foment Chaos.”

But those concerns largely evaporate inside Ballpark Square where a blossoming of mass public political expression is taking place. Never before during Camaxtli’s reign have so many gathered in one place in popular protest. Tens of thousands of people clapped in unison and chanted slogans ranging from the serious and patriotic to humorous rhymes filled with biting wit. Many had spent the night in the square and scores planned to stay longer.

Loyalist troops assembled around the square. Whatever the intended message, the crowd was not intimidated. They cheered, held up victory signs and waved in defiance. After emerging victorious in Friday’s battle with the interior ministry’s forces, there is little that can quell the enthusiasm of the Aztec people or their full-throated call for change.

Camaxtli’s attempt to placate the mass uprising by appointing to high positions two of his top party officials—Altli Fraztlac, the country’s infamous intelligence chief, as his first vice president and Ahmed Shafik, a former Ottoman navy commander, as prime minister—have been met with strong opposition amongst the protesters.

“Altli Fraztlac is not an option. The people are chanting against him today,” said a 30 year-old protester in Tenochtitlan. “People want to bring down the system…I don’t think anyone is going home until the king and everyone around him leaves. But remember WE DON"T WANT THE RUSSIANS EITHER.”

The most popular rebel chants say, supported by heavy rhytmic drums,
"Camaxtli go home, Russians go home, Camaxtli go home, Russians go home, Camaxtli go home, Russians go home, let us be free".
"Camaxtli go home, Russians go home, Camaxtli go home, Russians go home, Camaxtli go home, Russians go home, let us be free".
"Camaxtli go home, Russians go home, Camaxtli go home, Russians go home, Camaxtli go home, Russians go home, let us be free".

Guahar Tlelac—the Nobel Peace laureate and former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency—arrived in Ballpark Square today to address the crowds. Tlelac’s reputation is beyond reproach and he commands respect amongst most Aztecs but many say he has lived outside of the country for too long and criticize him for not taking part in earlier street protests. Nevertheless, some are calling on him to be included in some type of transitional government.

The one unifying theme, however, remains Camaxtli. Everyone wants him out and it is difficult to imagine what iota of support he holds in any segment of Aztec society save for his very small inner circle. And so, the people wait. It turns out six days of revolt will not be enough to overturn years in power. But patience is wearing thin.

                            • CIVIL WAR REFUGEES

Rebels are seeking refuge whereever they can. The impact of the Civil War on the civilian population is unparalleled in any other venue.
Neither regular troops nor guerrilla bands on either side respect civilian property. Worse, bitter hostilities between the three warring parties Russians, rebels and loyalists greatly escalate the level of violence aimed at perceived enemies, whether in uniform or not.

To escape victimization, civilians flee their homes, creating a refugee problem not anticipated by Russian or Camaxtlian authorities. Refugees are fleeing towards any border they can find. Asking for a safe haven from the onslaught.
