  • But please, make sure this time the rivers banks actually count as +1 commerce tiles. Danube was only a source of fresh water and only 2 or 3 of her adjacent tiles were commerce +1.

    • I do not understand the mechanics underlying this issue, but somehow the rivers along the sides of the coastal "river" tiles don't always provide +1C to the tile. I will try to troubleshoot it a bit before doing this again, but it might be a bug. It seems to happen evenly throughout the map, so you weren't alone in that. I know Persia had a good number of uncommerced river tiles also, which as a FIN leader hurt all the more...

        • Is there not a mod somewhere that offers us a tile that can both be crossed by ships AND units?
Making rivers that will not cut the land in two parts, while ships can still move over these rivers...?

It was still a HUGE advantage over other civs (I can name one in particular...) without rivers or fresh water or open plains at all.

I wont go there again, but I remember I counted like 3 times more tiles and 150% more resources and 5 times more woods for Turkey than Bulgaria initially. Maybe that was the intention of the mapmaker - to make disparity and represent the different geography regions and cultures.
