I think I put in about 5-7 hours last month... that picture didn't draw itself, nor did all of those maps. That stuff takes forever to do. Whatever, I'll do it for fun a bit, but I put in a ton of time and effort and feel like I got overlooked since it was all in the beginning. It's hard to really get into it again like that now. It's not like I was expecting a first or second place finish on the month either.

As I was new to the game partway through the month, I went back and reread the thread twice, from the start. Looking at my crib notes here that I used for voting you got good story marks from me. The maps were great. Very unique idea.

Now suck it up and get back in the ring for round two. More fish pictures.

Ah, you know, people just remember the stuff that was about them, once we all get into the thick of things one or two months from now, when everything becomes interconnected, then the voting will start to really reflect actual efforts. Don't get demotivated, just be the Incas and do your thang, we'll all notice eventually

Hey hopefully someone can help me.

I formatted my hard drive and have since got BTS up and running. I even got the DoE shortcut to load up the mod. When go to login I get a message about my critical files not matching the hosts.

Have we patched the mod along the way or something? Maybe I put the DoE zip file in the wrong folder? One curious thing is that I cannot find a Firaxis folder to save my life. Probably depraved windows 7 trying to protect me from myself.

I found that the mod only worked when the file was loaded into the mod folders, not the map folders as originally directed. And I don't use the short cut. I use "Advanced" and "Load A Mod" from the BTS screen. All works well.

It is possible that there may be two versions of the mod floating around. But I have no idea if that is what is going on in your case.

Just for the record:

Mongolia has no workers which were probably lost to the barbs before I took over. Mongolia has had to slave more chariots with more waves of barbs coming. The owner of the civ will think I did a bad job but what else can I do but save the civ.

Also, I'm thinking that I may not be best to sub as Russia is now settling East of the Urals where Mongols might have settled if they'd expanded in the first place. It will be ages before Mongolia even gets its third city settler.

Just saying for the record and I can see conflict of interest arising now..

Mongolia is back into the action now, internet back into action after over a weeks downtime. I see Mongolia has suffered with 4 pillaged improvements and 2 lost workers, never had much of a chance with lack of starting food, spoilt even more by a sub who located 2nd city badly, it seems all is against me this game
