I see and understand where you point. I partly agree and understand how it looks. I have a lot to say, especially to you, but I have to go now and will argue other day.

Long story short, if there is a complain from Mongolia that this war and its consequences is taking away the fun for them and there is a positive vote that this war is Unmeasured War, thus claiming it against the rules of the game, then thats another story. Until then, or until in-game treaty between the parties involved is achieved, I will stick to my word, supporting China by acting hostile to Mongolia.

Fair enough. We probably should have left it to RP and the rest in story posts.

The rules say that conflicts should be handled PRIVATELY via PM's to RP/game organiser nominees etc.

My view is that Russia has done nothing wrong by declaring war, as per its diplo position with China.

I agree that it does not look good for the Mongolians. But if the nations that are complaining about really feel strongly about it, they know what to do.

Looks like we may have a larger conflict on our hands.

I feel as if this is the funnest/fairest way to handle this.

As an aside, I fully allow RP to be the judge of this and will respect his decision.

I haven't really had a chance to read everything since internet around me is scarce and hard to find but I dont see any problem with this war. Officially Japan has not met Mongolia so it is really only 3 on one (for now).

Two reasons I atacked China, 1 they provocatively captured a barb city after I weakened or destroyed the defenders, it was just bad luck I failed to capture it with 4 attacking units. 2. With that capture of the barb city, I was totally encircled by hostile neighbours in a food poor region and no way of getting out. Therefore I had little choice. I am willing to have peace, but not if it guarantees I remain encircled with little food, little gold earning capacity and nowhere to expand.

3 vs 1 is not per se against diplo rules.
One could also say that Mongolia failed diplomatically by not making sure first that other nations wouldn't jump into the war.
Also could Mongolia try to get other nations involved on his side.

There's also measured war, which is a rule.
There's not much to gain in Mongolia for the 3 civs.

It sounds more like 20th century type of large alliance war-scale.

So far no rule has been broken. Nobody has claimed that Mongolia has been hit too hard.
We'll see how it affects the role playing vote.

I don't think this is a heated conflict we can't have in public.
Everybody is just arguing sane and respectfully.

So my comment would be:
1. watch out for measured war!
2. China/Russia/Japan: keep the role playing in mind
3. Mongolia: use diplomacy, both when you talk to your enemy and when you try to find friends. Right now you are losing the war b/c China has better diplomatic skills. (wheter or not that is in character)
