July 17th I return from vacation. I will continue the preparations for the game then so that we can start immediately. Till then all players may want to give their ideas about this game.

I don't care to play this game while civ5 is out already as well.
Civ4 is an awesome game, civ5 is not going to change that. Not to mention that the pitboss server won't be out before end of october. (cool that they release one!!!)

I think that the most important thing is more that we play 2 turns a day then the length of the game is reduced..

Yes. The whole 'quick turns but slow for war' was a great success in DoC

Between Epic and Quick there's Normal. Normal with 2 turns per day means that we can get it done in 3-4 months, which is exactly when civ5 will be released with pitboss server. (which may be delayed of course)
