Greece's Second Golden Era

The preliminary report came in. It was equivical.

It showed that the only two nations to increase espionage on Greece was Rome and Arabia.

Rip was certain that neither of these nations would embark on espionage missions against Greece so he filed it away as 'work-in-progress'; believing that the true culprit nation had cleverly ceased its espionage on Greece.

Rome grew a modest 8 points from 239 to 247
and Arabia grew a modest 18 points from 258 to 276.

Now to more important matters. Firstly Greece had commenced a second Golden Age honouring Rip for the massive redevelopment of Greece since the war. Serfdom was now no longer needed and it was time for Rip to stand down as King and usher in a new era of Representative government. In a few years the concept of Democracy will be learnt and Rip as the leading representative has discussed plans to improve governance further by adopting Emancipation, following the example of the great Inca.

Slavery had briefly been adopted for the current first few years of the Golden Age to allay the espionage efforts by increasing health improvements quickly because of poisoned rivers. "Rest assured this government will end slavery shortly and woe betide any nation caught in the act of future espionage attempts." Theocracy was being considers but many preferred the old ways of Pacifism. Rip personally wishes to extend Greek research by adopting Free Religion.

One huge problem exists for Greece is that it is impossible to get the cultural balance right with so many bordering nations. Tropicolpoli is about to be absorbed by English culture and a "Viva la Resistance" situation exists there with England owning over 50% of the city.

This is a shame because a small new eighth city called Athens has just been built in the south west to allow 8 universities to be built so that Oxford could be built in the capital. It is a shame that individual terrain areas can not be traded as there are useless pig resources that Greece would like to freely trade as land to Casablanca and others as well - working both ways between several bordering nations ***

This new city of Athens may now be a wasted venture as it is not ideally located and if Tropicopoli flips to England, all is lost for Oxford.

The Korean leader read the Egyptian papers and smiled. They were full of such great entertaining comics ant other items.

But on a serious matter he was truly divided now. Koreas sworn ally the Rnglish had declared war on India. There had been no warning of this attack and he was truly torn by it all.

How could the English turn their back on years of secret planning and deals so secret that onyl ahandful of koreans knew of the deals.

He had written to england to explain that the evil empire was on the march and now was not the time to make solo plans.

He looked at the maps of indias homelnd released by the Byzantine and wondered. If the byz were planning to attack they would not have released the map. so was it a ruse. did they reelease the amp to entice someone else to attack. hmmmm. Loooking at Koreas maps of India they knew where all the indian troops were. no need to protect the capital smart move. The indians were guarding the indians treasured citys. The 4 of them, yes he wodnerd if indias enemies knew of the fourth city.

He crossed the hall and called for the Egyptan reporter based in the province to be given entry.

Two of the most powerful nations in the world (2 & 3) have declared an unprovoked war on India (number 1, soon to be number 2). Meanwhile the 4th and 6th ranked nations threaten or consider entering the war against India as well. India, receiving mere token support from the 7th ranked nation is clearly being dogpiled by the strongest nations on the planet.

Has the world gone mad? What jealous frenzy has overtaken the leaders of the most advanced nations on earth? Do they envy the size and power of India? Certainly they are right to. India has been an imposing figure for generations. However even as the storm clouds gather to plot their destruction England is near to supplanting them.

Based on the highly respected Statistical Comparison Of Relative Economies (S.C.O.R.E.) rating, India and England are exactly tied. Both nations have a S.C.O.R.E. rating of 1,913. Why then do the strongest in the world target India and not England?

Puzzling information to be sure.

But the dominoes have only begun to fall. Perhaps Byzantium and Korea will tap into their long history of wise foreign policy decisions and decide that England and Persia vs. India is a fair, balanced fight and pursue other objectives. Only time will tell.

For our part, we continue to build up our military and continue to maintain neutrality in this conflict. Only time will tell what will stir us from our neutral perch.

korea wishes to point out to the natives that it is not the SCORE that is the cause it is the Combined Universal Leverage Totalising Under Regions Economy (CULTURE) rating that is the cause.

Golden Age for Russia!

Following the glorious victory over Ottoman arms and the resulting favorable peace treaty, Russian people all over the lands rejoice in celebration. Following the increased stability Prince Igor decides, after following the advice of Field Marshal Volukovich to implement new rights for the castes. Each caste now has Representation in a Royal Council with specific rights and priviliges.

Prince Igor now takes the title of King Igor of Russia Major, Viceroy over Nova Semlja and Lord Protector of Izhirbayzan. His royal priviliges have been balanced by a Representative council who will run many day to day affairs.

Furthermore, the Prince has expanded merchant caste priviliges to all citizens allowing Free Market trading to commence. In addition, the ancient Russian tradition of Vassalage is cancelled! King Igor has declared that Russians should be loyal to the Russian state as a whole, not individual Lords and Ladies. The priviliges of the high castes have been curtailed in favour of the great masses. No Lord may infringe upon the rights of the individual, however lowly, to choose and express his political views or religion.

As a result of the Free Speeh Act, Russia renounces Hastogianism! Prince Igor has now officially declared that the nation shall no longer favour a specific faith, but treat all religions equally.

In summary:
Russia casts away Hereditary Rule in favour of Representation
Russia reforms the Vassalization laws and implements Free Speech
Russia establishes a Free Market economy
Russia abandons Organized Hastogianism and allows Free Religion.
