From: Daniil Aleksandrovich, Foreign Minister, Russian Republic
      To: King Menelaus II

Please do not be offended Menelaus. The President was simply making an enquiry not any form of accusation. It is just known to us that Greek custom has been wont to hold grazing animals rather more 'fondly' than in other lands. We are relatively confident that these customs do not extend to the Royal Household itself but it was just a polite question clearly answered. We are satisfied and no brutish threats to 'kick your ass' are necessary. Indeed it is the Russian people's belief that they need'st must keep their asses well protected where Hellenic involvement is to be expected for here they are but used to pull carts and grind corn here whereas it is rumoured that they enjoy a certain favour amongst Grecian Ladies due to the failure of........Tush and nonsense, surely ought but a vile rumour.against Spartan manhood.

      You have our apologies,

      Daniil Aleksandrovich, Foreign Minister
For, and on behalf of, The Russian Republic

Your apologizes have been accepted, Minister Aleksandrovich!
The Spartan "Ass Kicking" program, code named "Total Russian Annihilation" has been immediately terminated.

        No more ass kicking.

Ass kissing from your side is still very acceptable. We do like fish a lot.

The First Spartan oil well has been finished.
The price for raw oil now lays at 160gpt for 1 source of oil.
Prices are expected to drop when more oil comes available.

Soon the 2nd source of Spartan oil will become available for purchase.
Nations can make bids to aquire oil from Sparta.

To: All Free Nations of the World

First let me congratulate King Menelaus for his nodding donkey in the desert.

The journey home is long and wearisome as the heat in these latitudes can become very high and shade impossible to find. The vodka is unfit to drink as there is no ice to be had! Still at least I shall soon be back amongst my beloved people and a we have the plans drawn up for a fine march through Novgorad to celebrate our brave soldier's victories in the field.

Worrying news has reached me that I feel may require the despatch back to Free Piercia of Marshal Meretsokov, no new CC has yet been appointed for the Armies based there, as it appears that Japan has increased it's military forces and is destroying Piercian land improvements! Russia had believed this war to have ended but it appears that Japan is mustering yet again and that the people of WildKoPer have suffered yet another terrible loss of population! Menelaus, can you not keep your pup on a leash? How can Russia trust in a Peace Treaty, upon which the ink scant dry, when the vanquished foe seem just to be using it as simply a pause to re-arm?

            President Rostislav Vladimirovich,

To: All Free Nations of the World

So it came to this... first the invasion and insults and now the lies. Our words against yours but lets see what is more beliveable who has the evidences:

Increased our forces? we even disbanded some units, I know some of you with better intelligence data can see that.. and anyway how fool do you think we are to actually preparing something. You have twice as much troops in the area as we do..( and just for the record: our units are musketmen and longbowmen: defending units, your troops: Cuirassiers and siege weapons..) and as you will see in my second part of my letter we actually have something to fear of.
Destroyed improvements? plain lie, which i have already told you in our private diplomatic channel, yet you spread this to other nations. I ask anyone who has confidental data about the land around Pierced hill from the past to make it public so our liar neighbour can be exposed. ((if anyone happen to have a screenshot that i did not change any town to workshop.. i wouldnt had time to do that btw..))

Free nations of the world: It seems the Russians cant accept the peace after all.. spreading lies is one thing and after this event i have decided to let you know all:
I've got several threatening letters From the Russian foreign minister in the last few weeks. The Russians told me that they see their invasion of our land as an unfinished buisness and that i have to surrender Manilla harbour to them or see the consequences. Which they even elaborate: Using their supreme (compared to ours) economic power they plan to launch a massive spy attack on our cities: sabotageing our cities, destroying our lands, causing unhappyness everywhere.
The Russians also reminded me that our treaty will last only a hundred years and then i may not have my friend at my side there may be no one who can protect me and they will crush me with their cossacks.
              That's the sad truth..

              I can tell you this:
-We wont give in the Russian demands: we wont give up any more cities
-We wont break the treaty not now and not even a hundred years later
-We wont use any subtle method as well

Whatever harm the Russians will cause to us we will rebuild- they won't break us with those coward attacks. And if they come we will fight with honor.

Yet again Japanese lies spew forth from the mouth of Prime Minister, Dictator is more likely, Yukawa Hideki!

Russia has offered aid and assistance to Japan, economists from Russia's leading Banking Institutions have agreed to lend their services without charge and I personally have contacted this man on numerous occasions pointing out that the path upon which they are set will finally kill an already dying nation.

                These are the facts:~

                1. Japanese forces in occupied Piercia have doubled in the passed three rounds. Indeed our observers report yet another Galleon approaching WildKoPer with no doubt more. Japan has siezed the chance to destroy improvements around Pierced Hill whilst they remain outside the Zone of Protection.

                2. Russia knows exactly what is in every Japanese, or Japanese occupied, City in the World. Russia knows exactly what each is building and the budgets assigned to Science, Art and Finance. Russia knows down to last Yen how much Japan has left in her Treasury. Russia knows the size and composition of Japan's Armed Forces. Russia knows the resouces Japan needs to build these forces and just where they can be built. Russia notes the size at the beginning of each round of every one of these Cities. Japan has a tiny Navy that cannot in any way explain the massive increase in troop levels in full. WildKoPer has shrunk a full 400,000 people when not starving! How can this be?

                3. Japan appears to have decided to embark upon an insidious oriental ploy of attempting 'Cultural Warfare' upon Free Piercia as well! Boosting the percentage of her economy devoted to Culture to astronomical levels as well as attempting to build a Hermitage in WildKoPer with but the one clear aim which is to cause distress to the citizens of Pierced Hill!

                4. I, on behalf of the President, have posed questions regarding these matters to Yukawa Hideki. I have asked particularly as to why Japan feels the need for such a massive increase in Troop concentrations when our nations are sworn to a peace that will last 100 years and is guarenteed by two of the most powerful nations on Earth? I have, though in no way a threatening manner, pointed out that Russia need not add a single soldier to the 13th Army to secure Free Piercia's right's and justices. That Russia will have lessened, by very nearly half, her Garrison in Free Piercia when the withdrawel of the 7th Army is completed. I have reminded Yukawa Hideki that much may have changed in 100 years and thet Russian Troops, though fewer in number now, are far better trained and are a professional force not a mob of conscripts. I have also offered him the knowledge that the Rouble is not a debased currency as is the Yen and that the Russian economy is in a better situation than the Japanese. I have had to tell him, what all sense and reason must have told him already, that within four Rounds Japan will be Bankrupted totally if she continues in this fashion!

                5. Russia has offerred to lessen the burden on the Japanese economy by a mutual reduction in both Troop concentrations and Cultural output. Russia has offerred to take on the terrible burden to the Japanese economy that is Pierced Harbour and it's garrison. Russia has offerred Japan, not just a cease-fire for 100 years, but an alliance that will remain unbreakable forever.

You can see that no demands have been made of Japan simply a few requests that they cease destroying land improvements, cease conscription of Piercians in occupied lands and cease construction of a Hermitage in WildKoPer. Elsewise all Russia has done is offer help and support to a suffering nation.

                  Daniil Aleksandrovich,
You took as a fool and got fustrated when we simply turned your ridiculous "offer" down, and then insulted us and started to spread your lies.

1, I already told you that it is a lie, but you know what: I accept inspectors to check my so called mobilization: If Rome offers his assisatance I let them investigate what kind of troops i have. It was them who made this peace possible they might be interested which of us lying here.

2, You are spying on us-we know-so what?

3, You took a city of ours which is now in between two of our other cities. cultural tension is unavoidable- We just try to be prepared not to loose more land. Maybe you noticed that by taking our city you cut us off from the river: our farms are not irrigated until we can expand our influence again on those tiles.

4, So i will go bancrupt in four turns? Lets come back to this issue in five turns then. ( the fact is that since i got controll over the Japanese economy we could more than doubled our research output with positive balance)
I'm afraid we wont visit the stars any time soon but we are on a good way, thanks for your concern btw.

5, This is the most ridiculous of all: you offered us to lessen "our burden" by demanding our city... I have told you and do it again: none of our cities are a burden to us neither economically nor by any ohter means.

6, "You can see that no demands have been made of Japan simply a few requests..."
Here is where our words against yours: if you request something you dont threaten the other with destruction: either by your spies, your military and by diplomatic means. And that is what you did!

Anyway: We have had enough of your insults and lies. Hereby Japan closes every communications with Russia- Our answer is NO, and it's final.

                  Yukawa Hideki

                    Suryavarman 3 was well pleased.

Despite paranoia from other quarters the Khmer concentrates on state of the art modern weaponry.

All nations. Because Khmer already has started to speak of a nuclear firsts strike, I will instruct the foreign office here at home to follow closely their research and watch if that so called manhattan project starts construction in one of their cities. I will immediately share my findings with you all, so we all can together decide what should be done.

                      Xristo
So is that a yes Xristo to the Roman nuclear proposal?

As you can see the Khmer are not following the rocketry path that you have followed. Portugal is far more dangerous as a nuclear threat.

                      We like our Tanks

                      ---

OOC We really need a RULE on nuclear first strikes. Khmer suggests ONE strike per turn. Agreed?

                        Pacal of the Maya,

I'd like to address two issues.
First of all, you still owe Sparta 1000 gold and 2 workers.
My scribes told me that you recently had almost enough gold to pay your debts, but now all the money is gone again.

I also see an increase of troop activities near our mutual border.
You are clearly increasing the size of your armies.
Do I have to expect another Mayan invasion of Sparta?

I'd rather see peace between the two of us.
But I warn you that Sparta is, despite our last 'disagreement' currently completely ready to wage a war against you. And this time we will not stop at the Korean border and not restrain ourselves.

                        I'm waiting for your answer.

Dear Khmer you still have no tanks build, yes i have some very good sources

Portugal is far more dangerous as a nuclear threat.
The usual chit chat from a paranoid ruler, funny that it comes from the one who has threatened the world with a massive nuke attack on several occasions.

I hope other rulers notice your threats, seeing that other friendly nations are soon to overtake your world ranking I really hope you do not grow so desperate to bring such a evil to the world.

                          Cheers!
